Sitting back and not doing anything to stop terrorism or bad actors from spreading thier heinous acts does more harm than fighting them and stopping them. Surely you can see that point?

I didn’t even see that part of your post.

Taiwan is of far greater inportance to the west and specifically the US than the Ukraine. It’s a completely different conversation and I’d be more inclined to get involved for sure.

It’s far easier and less expensive to just have common sense domestic policies to stop terrorism from impacting the homeland. So I could not possibly disagree with you more.

Now when someone line Obama ****s **** up and allows the formation of Isis then a different plan is needed at the onset.

They know they'll get slaughtered. That's why they're evacing the women and children as fast as they can. Ukrainians in their forties grew up behind the Iron Curtain. Their kids have heard their stories. Some things are worth fighting for even when you know you'll lose.

I’m just not sure how much their life would change under Russian rule and if it’s worth it to spill the blood of a whole generation. The Ukrainian land hasn’t exactly enjoyed consistent borders in the past.

That's a surprising statement considering how upset you've been about mask and vaccine mandates, or Canadian police. This would be exponentially worse for the Ukrainian people.

Worse than dead?

Putin obviously tolerates no dissent at all but what other comparable restrictions on Russian freedom exist since you’re bringing up recent events in Canada.

Happy to admit I’m naive on this if there are some every day restriction on their everyday lives that Putin imposes.
