GM/Winter Meetings Thread

I tried to be optimistic and not believe a third of what was speculated, but the thought that we have at least two marketable players and Hart wants to pawn off CJ/BJ makes me sick. We're stuck so if you're half competitive and your team is not constructed for the WS anytime soon, why keep Upton or Gattis? Oh well, still early.

Sources: #Nationals have discussed Desmond with #Mariners on multiple occasions. Nats like Miller. Talks have yet to gain traction.
 
The Twins should surrender ALL their draft picks for '15 for having to endure watching Ryan Doumit hit a baseball, even though we got him for a no good bum!

His steamer projection 256/307/331 so I can definitely see him being a mid 600 OPS hitter. He's a poor defender at short and about average at second. Amazing base runner though. This is a case where a guy is overrated due to his steals and the fact he likely had a fluke year in 2014.

Braves should have moved JJ after the 2009 season. Hanson on the other hand lost it due to injury which I guess some predicted due to his mechanics but before his shoulder problems he was legit and someone you would want to build around.

How do the Dodgers seem to possibly get that kind of package from the Padres for Kemp but we're having problems making trades? Hart needs to not try to bundle CJ and BJ with either Justin or Gattis if he wants to make anything happen.

Kemp is signed for 5 more years, while JUp's a FA.

All i've seen is Grandal in talks for Kemp.

Would also imagine LA will eat some his money to get a better haul.

Meh, the Dodgers would give us that package for Upton. We wouldn't want it though.
