I think in a pitchers park like we have, he would have done fine.

I'm sure we can do better, i just like the move. We are probably either looking for someone younger and under control, or a shorter term deal than that.
 
Upton instantly becomes a must get for a contender now that Kemp is gone. This could be well played...or a nightmare.

I'm sorry, I know Friedman's a genius and all that, but whether I take these moves individually or separately, I am Kevin Towers unimpressed.

Yeah, I'm sure we can. I mean, isn't that, like, 80% of our starting pitching budget?
 
I hated the Dodgers lineup before this offseason, but they are making some serious strides. yuck.
 
That's a good deal especially for Boston. Porcello is better than people think. Red Sox didn't necessarily need Cespedes anyway.
 
Is anybody else having trouble accessing this site today? Speeds are crawling for me.
 
The Reds trading Simon and Latos blows open the starting pitching market. Like the Twins did to the center fielder market when they traded Revere and Span two off-seasons ago.

Starting pitching is now an extreme buyer's market. Teams that wait and exercise some patience will be well rewarded.
