I'm becoming more and more interested to see what we do. We've gotten a bit of money to play around with and contrary to what a lot of people say, our starting pitching, our bullpen and now are bench are all coming along pretty well (especially if this Toscano guy is solid). I'd be incredibly happy with either extending Justin or signing an Ace in the FA market. If we could SOMEHOW do both, I'd cry.

Lineup without trading either JUP or Gattis:
Markakis RF
Simba SS
Freeman 1B
JUP LF
Gattis C
Cjoh 3B
Callaspo 2B
BJ CF

Is that perfect? Nah, but I'm confident. Then put Peraza as leadoff once he's here.

Wood LHP

I think we are more likely to see:

Good for Ervin. I really enjoyed him while he was here. That being said, I'm completely find with not bringing him back. He started out hot, and he gave us lots of innings, but he wasn't that impressive. Also, draft pick!

Twins first rounder is protected, so it would only be a 2nd rounder.

Yep, they would't lose their first round pick. If deal were to happen with Santana, we will get a sandwich pick after first round . . . and after the competitive balance picks I think. If Santana waits to sign for some time after the season starts (30 days I think) we would not get the sandwich pick.

Dombrowski daily session was supposed to be an hour ago. No new time yet. Other signs suggest Tigers have something significant in works.

Why we acting like Dee Gordon is great? His post All-Star numbers were poor. .300 OBP, 4 BBs to 47 K, 21 SB in 31 ATT. He's REALLY fast, but far from a great hitter. They gave up Heaney, who is a much bigger impact player.
