GTD: Braves @ STL 6/29

Noticing a trend on the GD Threads. 1st inning... pitcher struggles a bit, board declares him to be trash. Usually doesn't give up many if any runs, but throws a lot of pitches.

Then he settles in and gets better. I have learned that someone declaring the pitcher to be trash in the first is often a fairly good sign!!!

Don’t worry. The number 3000 will always hang in the rafters at Chop Country, even when we inevitably decide to move to a lighter “traffic” URL.
 
Never understand why a runner would slide head first into first base unless he was trying to avoid a tag.
 
Cardinal announcers are Dan Thompson and Dan McLaughlin. At least I think that's what they just said...don't know anything about either one of them except they're not very good.

hot night...wouldn't let Julion pitch his way out of trouble...hitters 3-6 are RHH, so Shane Carle probably is the best option
