I think FW plans on making a splash beofre trade deadline

Have I decided? Thanks for informing me on my thoughts!

As of right now, HE CAN'T HIT. Right now, in any trade, he will be looked at as a defense-only player. The Braves may try and sell this rosy view that you have to other teams, but they won't buy it. They will look at his career and say "We aren't betting on his bat developing." There are very few signs. Sorry if you don't see that. It's a long shot. You've apparently decided he's the next Yadi Molina. I have strong doubts, and that's easier to understand than your stance.

Literally every post including the one where you inform me of his OPS after 30 Abs in his first trip up to the majors oozes that you know the outcome of CB. Sorry if you can't see that.

Apparently you don't know the definition of "literally" because that's 100% false.
I said he can't hit. As of right now, I'm correct. Sorry if you can't see that.

That's how every post read.

A 650 ops as a regular would put him right at 11th for Catchers that qualify with enough ABs as a 22 year old. Coupled with GG defense, I see that as valuable. Probably easily top 10 when you think of how average defensively some of those hitters are. I think that's his likely plateau, as it doesn't take much bat when you see the quality of ML catcher across the league.

We have been spoiled to the utmost degree with Mac and Gattis.

I brought up his OPS thus far because I said something along the lines of "He's been good, but can't hit." You then questioned me, saying "He's been good but can't hit. Got it." I said his overall game has been nice, but he hasn't hit a lick in the majors yet.
I'm of the opinion that, based on what I know right now, a .650 OPS is about the ceiling I expect. As I've said, it's entirely possible he eclipses that and becomes a good hitter. I don't think he will, and would not bet on it (based on what I know right now). I would not be at all surprised if he doesn't stays below a .600 OPS this year and is right around that for his career. Apparently you find this absurd. I can't help ya there.

And my original sentiment was that he wouldn't be that highly valued in a trade. Guys that are all defense and don't project with the bat at all don't fetch a lot. I'm of the opinion that other orgs. would look at him and see strictly defense, no bat. Which limits value. Again, ludicrous, I know.

I didn't ask for your help yet you were inclined to force it in anyway. I think most teams will value a top 10 catcher with a bazooka for an arm. I don't find it absurd to doubt him, but I think there are things you can point to regarding reasons for optimism. You do not. Once again, got it. I fully understand your position, no need to go further.

"Top 10 catcher." LOL. Alrighty. Finished. We'll see eventually who's right. So remember this.
