Impeachment II

There was a " rally" after HRC didnt win. They knitted hats and were mocked
Then mobilized, took the House and subsequently the WH and Senate.

But the problem with this what if, is the democrats wouldn't have done that. We already had Hillary lose in a rigged election and people didn't storm the capitol.

All Trump had to do was concede. THat's it. If he conceded before the 6th none of this happens. Period.

as we learned yesterday, Trump began the talk of the only way he loses is if it was "stolen"
Then as early as November ( I think) began organizing the "rally" for Jan 6

Question, let's say Hillary had won 4 years ago and everything plays out the same except in reverse. Do the Democrats abandon Hillary if a mob of her supporters stormed that Capitol? I don't think so. The problem isn't the GOP being "rotten to the core," the problem is hyper partisanism that has infected American politics.

really ? did you watch yesterdays proceedings ?

Honestly, I've not been tuning in. I have better things to do. The chances of Trump getting convicted have wasted away over the last few weeks so it's just political theater at this point.

And to be perfectly honest, I think Biden could kill someone on the White House lawn and there would be virtually no Democrat support for impeachment. We're living in an age of hyper partisanism. It doesn't matter what your guy does, you can't give the other side a win.

the reason they seem to be wasting away is the same reason he collected voters in the first place !!

this is not about what you or I suppose. There are people presenting evidence, creme de la creme legal minds that one I would think, since it is your profession, would interest you but, seems you made up your mind mid January.
Dyed in the wool MAGA Senators are visibly shaken by the evidence

Leaving you to wonder, if Hillary voters would react like Trump " ralliers"
leading to both sides are the same

Striker, thought more of you

We are not talking enough about how the WH worked with outside groups
to change the date and permit of the riot rally to occur on Jan 6 and allow
people to march to the Capitol.

this was pointed out yesterday as well

There has been a temptation in some quarters to normalize what has happened in the past four years. Imo this temptation should be strenuously resisted.

the point of to day is defining a pattern of incitement by Trump. Showing videos of past rallies where he egged on people to violence, how "ralliers" flocked to DC because Trump called them to DC and audio clips of TV interviews with participants after returning home.

"liberate Michigan"

BLUNT, speaking to @LACaldwellDC this morning, describes the Trump defense as "our side" when discussing a potential trial end date.

"I'm not sure when our side starts but Saturday's looking better all the time," he says.

Was Trump on January 6 hoping that the violence and chaos he incited

would build to the point that he could seize emergency Presidential powers,

declare martial law, cancel the Biden inauguration and stay in power?

Need all available evidence on this urgent question.
