I disagree. GOP members in Congress know how bad some on their team look but they judge their only chance is sticking with them. It does take some courage to take on the entire governmental system.

I once read in a American History textbook how the American character was essentially binary and thus always at war with itself. One part is idealistic and the other is materialistic. Our 2 party system reflects this. The Dems represent idealistic morals and the GOP represents short term capitalistic greed. Neither can be washed away.

Trump impeachment lawyers quitting just before trial begins.

There are three main reasons lawyers quit cases.

1) Client won't accept their advice.
2) Client instructs the lawyer to do something which would compromise their professional duty i.e. lying in court.
3) The client won't pay.

I suspect we've got the holy trinity here.

We could fix so much of this by only using textbooks written before 1970. Except for science. Some of those facts have actually changed, instead of being reimagined.
