Impeachment

Which in turn has led to Chargé d’Affaires William Taylor as an important witness. Career diplomat with no axe to grind.

Yup, it's a cascade effect. This is why I think any further attempts to scapegoat Rudy are a huge mistake. He will not take it, and he surely knows where more bodies are buried.

I didn't say it was a good option...I said it was the least bad of a set of awful options...the Chosen One is basically screwed...he can avoid conviction but he is a dead man walking politically...there is no recovery from this...the rest of his term will be a form of regency...he will lose no matter who the Dems nominate and quite likely by a bad margin

Ms. Chalupa btw is one of the people that Giuliani/Manafartov/other RW conspiracy theorists believe (incorrectly) was behind the revelations about Manafartov's career in Ukraine. But she does know a lot about Pavel.

Oh in case anyone doesn't remember Pavel passed on internal proprietary polls to KGB agent Kilimnic with specific instructions on how it should be shared.

One more thing: Pavel was the Chosen One's campaign manager. But hey no collusion.

at least thethe doesn't pretend to be something he isn't...he is as honest about being an all-in Trump homer as he is about being a Braves homer...he buys into all the conspiracy theories and kool-aid just as he buys into all Braves prospects

Im a sucker for good results

Then why dont you give Obama credit for leading us out of a crashing economy he inherited from Bush? Who was the last President before Obama to end their Presidency with 7 straight years of growth?

it was a perfectly legit phone call and rick perry made me do it

Now, scapegoating Rick probably is the least bad of all the bad options, if they could somehow make it stick. You know dude can't even recall the name of the department he heads.

Atty. Gen. William Barr, who is deeply embroiled in the Trump-Ukraine affair, doesn’t care about his place in history. “I’m at the end of my career,” he told Jan Crawford of CBS in March. “Everyone dies.”

Rudolph Giuliani, the president’s fixer, who is even more deeply embroiled in the Trump-Ukraine affair, is likewise indifferent. “I don’t care about my legacy,” he told the New Yorker last month. “I’ll be dead.”

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, 55, who is especially embroiled in the Trump-Ukraine affair, also has his eye on an End Times cleansing. “It is a never-ending struggle,” he told a Kansas church group, describing his work for the president. “Until the Rapture.”

Poets have envisioned death in thousands of ways. Clouds, worms, reunions, virgins and more. But Barr, Giuliani and Pompeo — each in the midst of a distinct moral crisis — may have a new one. Death as sweet, sweet liberation from congressional oversight.

Let me propose an epitaph, suitable for any of these men when the time comes: “He’s gone where subpoenas can lacerate his heart no more.”

But if these men are counting on death to end their sea of troubles, the House doesn’t intend to give them that chance. With every letter or subpoena, Congress is demanding that these men stop daydreaming about oblivion or ecstatic union with Jesus and do what’s right in the here and now.

the final apocalyptic death blow she comes

Now we know why Pompeo is game for all of this: he thinks he's doing his part helping the antichrist get him to Jaysus faster.

Well the 2nd Whistleblower is already off to a bad start, imo. Said to be now "thinking about filing a whistleblower complaint". He or she's already had 2 1/2 months to "think about it".

Trump is feeling boxed into a corner.

Going after the National Security Council shows he sees them as an enemy, confirming what I've always thought, that have been holding his chain all along. Going after Chuck and Nancy and lying Ted Cruz is one thing, but the CIA, the FBI and the NSC know how to deal with puppet dictators.

They should really build impeachment around Trumps narcissism. Everything is about feeding his ego. Kiss his ass and maybe you will get what you want but he will atleast kiss your ass back, say that he is anything but the greatest thing to ever walk the Earth and you are now a mortal enemy. Our foreign policy is now highly swayed by who and how much foreign leaders kiss his ass. Our economic policy is now largely dependent on rewarding those who kiss his ass and punishing those that dont. You could say some of that plays into every Presidnts decisions but this is taking it to bat**** crazy levels. Trump is a rainmaker. He says elect me and I will make it rain. If and when it rains he takes all the credit. If and when it doesn't he just blames his critics. He rainmade America. And he did it with a minority of the vote.

whistleblower #2...could be yuge...could be a nothing burger...stay tuned

"Multiple whistleblowers".

Trump is about to fire everybody except Ivanka and Stephen Miller.

"Corruption" indeed. Perry and friends saw the corruption in Ukraine as a business opportunity and Trump held back the aid to apply pressure. He thought he could get help with Biden, too.

The quid pro quo is unmistakable and Trump's overuse of "corruption" has everyone looking in the right place.
