I’ll never understand this both-sidesing the fight to end gun violence,

someone recently described “radicals on both sides”.

One side is kids and parents begging for their lives not to be shot,

and the other side men are cosplaying as a civil war militia

These are not the same.

Would anyone here be comfortable with someone leaving a loaded gun with no safety lock on a third self of a bookshelf behind some mugs with your 3 young kids in the house? Well apparently Santa Fe police thinks that's not reckless or endangering a child. Just a coincidence the lesson whondid it was a cop........ dude wasn't even working at the time he was on paternity leave so there was absolutely no excuse for leaving it like that.
 
I dont think he would get that kind of treatment if he wasnt a cop. They even passed a law later making this kind of thing specifically a crime. But I find it hard to believe it doesnt violate numerous laws already on the books. What if he had Fentanyl in that same place as the gun and the kid got ahold of it and died. I bet there would be all kinds of charges other than just drug possession. Like reckless endangerment of a child.

I feel that should be child endagerment. My guns stay locked up.
 



Just an absurd set of events here. Cops knock on the wrong door for a domestic violence call. They know they have the wrong house before the guy even answers the door. They shine bright lights at the door so he cant actually see they are cops. Then shoot and kill him because he answered the door with a gun in his hand. Its well passed time we stopped letting cops have this unreasonable standard of self defense. If you are with your kids who are going door to door selling girl scout cookies and someone answers the door with a gun in their hand and you shoot them you go immediately to jail and are charged with murder. No if ands or buts about it. But cops get to assume that every person with a gun is trying to kill them. It might be one thing if this was the actual house for a DV call but they know it is not before the door opens and have no reason to believe the person answering the door wishes harm to them. The wife not knowing they were cops fires back at them. When she realizes its the cops she drops her gun. Then they treat her like a suspect and handcuff her while the people who started this whole thing go **** with their kids upstairs. Imagine having your spouse murdered before you eyes then the people who murdered that person go "check on your kids". Either give all citizens the same right to self defense or make cops self defense rights the same as ours. This notion that cops are under attack for all angles everywhere is BS. Statistically the odds of a cop being fired upon out of nowhere is slightly higher than their odds of being struck by lightning. Almost all violence against police officers comes after an initial escalation by the cops. You have a better chance of dying in car crash on your way to work than a cop does of getting shot by a random person for no reason. And to top all of this off the cops want to blame the victim.

People disagreeing with her.

Not sure if I’ve seen anyone disagree with this move by the gov ?

She is right, no constitutional right is absolute. Government literally grants itself the right to violate the constitution. They can force you to stop your car and go through border check points 100 miles in land. They can steal your car and money and make you prove it wasnt used in a crime at your own expense. They can declare an area a "constitution free zone". At some point you realize we are just pretending the constitution means anything. Its just there to give you the illusion that there are limits on government power. The governments power in times of "emergency" are unlimited. Which a lot of people found out with Covid. Yet neither party is advocating for taking this power away from government despite the grandstanding from one side.

Indeed... school indoctrination and irrational fear mongering is an enormous benefit to democrats
 
Not one of the boards 2nd Amendment proponents, freedom preacher or thoughts or prayer pearl clutchers have weighed in on the Maine shooting.

As if it didn't happen . But, know what did ?

Some random person didn't condemn Hamas on cue or some random person opined on gender rights.

Or the burning issue or the day --- school choice so bigoted whites aren't expected to send their kids to school with POC.

Let Rep Golden be your example rather than the riff-raff grifters y'all give credence to
