Like Simmons?
Yeah. Luckily we already signed him long term. He's a top 10 position player right now.

There he is! Mr. "I don't watch the games, but you guys are wrong"
How did I say anyone was wrong?
Yeah. Luckily we already signed him long term. He's a top 10 position player right now.
Jace has probably been a bit lucky in regards to babip, but he's also probably been unlucky in the power dept.
You haven't watched Jace, but questioning whether or not Jace has had some fortunate luck is dumb because you hate math and the idea of BABIP.
Wow, I was just perusing bref and noticed that Jace already has a .4 dWAR, which would tie him for 14th in the NL. Where would he be if he didn't sit earlier in the year?
In a perfect world Jace Peterson would be very good but highly underrated. Except by those of us in the know.
Kind of the opposite of Heyward who isn't very good but overrated and a disappointment relative to our expectations.
You can find spots for him... At second base, CF, and SS. I don't want that player as my starting third baseman.
A lineup full of Jace Peterson at the current level would not score many runs.
Players with a .350 OBP and great defense can start anywhere for my team. I don't really care what position.
I disagree (well at least as far as Jace's current production). I think any lineup with 8 players who get on base at a .350 clip but very little power will still score a ton of runs. You are going to average somewhere around 11 or 12 base runners per game.
Anyone still have the offese simulator? This would be a great thread for MikeAdams to make an appearance.
Jace's Runs Created per game is 4. NL average is 4.10 runs per game.
What about run prevention in comparison to average?
good point, put a player his caliber defensively at all the spots and that would be a superb defensive team.
