Jace Peterson

Hard to say since we don't really know what Jace's base line is. He's played well the first month of the season but as we know defenisve stats aren't the most reliable in short sample sizes like this especially without any prior years to base them off of. A quick guess though would be the Royals of last year. Average offense and plus plus defense. Which I know is the exact team that you would want.

Depends on how the team arrived at average offense.

Considering you would have to bat the pitcher 9th, the teams OBP would be roughly 8 position players getting on base at a .350 rate plus a pitcher who gets on base at a .100 rate. The team average would be around .325 (very rough calculation). Even if you think it would be a little higher that still puts you around the top 12 in baseball, but coupled with no power and you would have a below average offense.

Unless you really trust defensive metrics , which many of you have said you don't, then I don't see how you guys possible think that's a winning team.

Right now over a full season Jace profiles as a 2 WAR player. Now these are very rough estimates and likely on the high end due to the fact that we don't know how his defense will play out and his hitting is fueled by a high LD% which wil likely not continue. Now he could offset that if he starts to slash some doubles, etc. With that being said 2 WAR for 8 positions would 16 WAR for your positions players which would fit in at #20 in MLB from last years numbers. You could likely bump that a win or two when you include the bench. So you are still looking at average at best.

A team full of Jace Peterson's won't kill you (assuming his stats to this point in the season) but it won't really help you either. You'd need lights out pitching to win.

What if we have a Jace Peterson at all 5 rotation spots and in the bullpen?

I hope everyone realizes that everyone is content with a player like that. That type of player is worth 10 million a year.

But I personally would prefer more Freddie Freeman's then Jace Peterson's.

you're either missing a comma in your last sentence, or you done spelt wrong.
