Jecki Lon Memorial Star Wars Thread

Calling it widely panned because anti-woke crowd is bombing it

Lol you're a sheep.

Acolyte hasn't been something amazing. But without the grifters and chuds riding the show most people wouldn't have anything really negative to say about it. Go to the prequel memes subreddit you see very little panning there. Go to the main star wars sub top comments aren't hate.

If you leave your bubble of right wing grifters on twitter and youtube you'll see what you're talking about. Kudos.

LOL at using subreddits to support your argument.

You're a hipster plain and simple. Or you're a simp for anything Star Wars related.

The show itself is mediocre while creating unnecessary Star Wars plot holes and retconning Star Wars lore.

Explain the plot holes and recons in you own words

I literally posted them multiple times in this thread.

Immaculate births, light saber short circuiting, knowledge of a Sith existing 100 years before the prequels, Mundi being like 130 years old now in the prequels.

No confirmed immaculate birth yet. We don't know what's going on. ALso how is that retcon?

Light saber short circuiting how is that a retcon or plothole?

Knowledge of the Sith, as of right now only 2 people have heard that word, we don't know what they're going to do. We also know the Jedi were in the process of their fall for a long time.

Mundi's age was stated as what by Lucas? Why does it matter? Mundi is a bit character no one cared about. Even if it was a retcon is it worse than Lucas's own retcons like Leia knowing her mother then Padme dies during child birth, Hell in the OT Lucas evolved the character of Vader to be Luke's father, which was a retcon of Ep IV, in Ep IV Kenobi said the republic stood for a 1000 generations, in Ep 2 Palps says it's stood for 1000 years, in Ep 5 Luke was the only hope and was kissed by Leia in Ep 6 she was his twin sister. I could go on.

BTW Carp Databank has updated (could have happened sooner and I missed it.

COnfirmed that Stranger had Cortosis gauntlets helmet seemed to be too though it's not in the database, but Yord used the helmet to temporarily disable Qimir's saber. Cortosis is a metal with a high energy absorbtion rate. If my memory is correct we saw it short a lightsaber in Doctor APhra comics. The other being in the Thrawn book in the clonewars flashback where they discover that it was potentially being used in B2 Battledroids and clone trooper armor.

So there goes that plot hole.

Even if that is true, 100+ years later and the same tech isn't used in any fashion whatsoever either by Sith or Jedi. So no, it does not remove the plot hole or the fact that is lazt writing. it just explains what actually happened.

And don't get me started on the comics. They are fun to read, but they take a ton of liberties with the source material as well. But that is typical of all comics, so I don't hold it against them.

Everyone else in this thread: The show isn't very good and it's creating of issues with established Star Wars content.

Zito for some reason: GRIFTER!!! YOU JUST CAN"T APPRECIATE QUALITY CONTENT!!!

A lot of people think Qimir could be a Knight of Ren instead of a Sith. That would make a lot more sense. Hopefully the rest of the season is as good as this past episode.
