One thing I don't adore about Disney star wars and kind of why I think Disney is more to blame than LF. I think Kennedy is an easy scapegoat. And Bob Iger loves it. But part of the problem is the unevenness of star wars. Like they announced so many movies at the start.
Then all the shelved/cancelled films, Rian Johnson triology he won't touch til at least 2025 if anyone wants to deal with it then, Benioff/Weiss triology, Rogue Squadron, Yauka Waititi's film, Kenobi and Boba Fett moved from movies to shows (technically Fett was cancelled, then BoBF came after his revival on Mando)
It's like it's all chips in the bucket. Movies make a killing lets announce a slate of movies. Oh no movie backlash lets cancel. Mandalorian is taking off everything is a show. Oh wait more backlash, lets look at movies again?
Also like any director has a flop and they pull back. They were in on Josh Trank for BF movie then F4 had issues and they ran out from that then went to Mangold then Solo tanked and they cancelled everything. Then basically Disney relied on Lucasfilm for D+. Which is a shame because Star Wars movies are amazing. Here's hoping the movies that are being worked on now are made with care and go well.
