Let's Talk About Media

But what has he done that was so blatantly corrupt?

I'm aware you can't really define that but the reality is that Biden is pardoning people for obvious crimes that the Democrats swept under the rug. Its a shame the people won't get justrice.

Even if I ignored every single thing you dismiss as liberal propaganda, I’d argue the amount of taxpayer money that’s gone directly to his resorts when he could instead be in the White House is a pretty big deal.

I'd agree this isn't a good look but lets not be so dishonest where you think it raises to the level of what the Biden regime is doing now.

In terms of the practical difference it makes in my life, it might be at a higher level. My life would not materially be better if Hunter Biden was in prison for some present or future crime his father pardoned him for. My life could feasibly be impacted by my tax dollars going directly to Trump’s properties. Biden made an inexcusable decision with Hunter, and he’d be doing the same with Cheney and Fauci if those reports are true (big if, by the way). But the real issue there would be the system somehow allowing this to be possible. Some Republican ought to be advancing a bill as fast as possible to close this sort of loophole. But even if it’s discovered Fauci or Cheney did something illegal, it doesn’t impact my life in any way for them to be spared prison.

Your life wouldn't be better if we held people accountable that sold out the US for influence in governemtn?

Your life wouldn't be better if a global criminal like Fauchi who is directly involved in the CCP virus wasn't held accountable?

Odd take. Guess you just want these things to happen over nad over again with no penalty.

But yeah, Trump charging secret service to stay at his hotel has SO MUCH MORE IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE!!!

I haven’t seen Hunter Biden convicted of such things and I don’t yet see any evidence that suggests Fauci caused COVID. If the Republican House report can be believed, he certainly might have covered up the relationship between the US government and the Wuhan lab to avoid scrutiny, but if my life was going to be affected by government officials not being imprisoned for lying about US involvement in things abroad, I’d probably have just killed myself by now. Republicans can keep investigating any potential dishonesty and make structural changes over the next 4 years to limit it in the future if they have the actual appetite to do so, but no my life would not be better if that involved a prison sentence. I’m all for transparency and fixes to bring more of it, but I’m simply not worried if a couple people don’t go to prison for the same types of crimes all the other powerful people are also committing.

Of course you haven't - Becuase Trump was impeached for investigating and you were canceled on social media and in life for questioning fauchi.

But this is what you want.

No, this is just what you assume I must want if I don’t wholly agree with you on all of it. I want power stripped from the Executive branch to protect against overreach. I want the FOIA strengthened, Soros’ money (along with all the other billionaires on either side) out of government and to go after corruption. I simply don’t care if Hunter Biden goes to prison or not. The problem is not specifically Hunter Biden or Anthony Fauci. It’s the system itself. Where we primarily seem to differ is whether or not Trump and his ilk are actually trying to dismantle that system or if they’re just the other side of the coin.

Your life gets better if a criminal is removed from being able to commit a crime. The funding that Fauci has approved must be stopped to avoid future pandemics

Even if Fauci is shown to have acted criminally in his dealings with China, I reject the premise that putting Fauci in prison will affect anything. He will be 87 by the time Trump is out of office and is almost certainly never going to be in a position to direct US policy moving forward. I also reject the premise that this kind of science must be stopped to avoid future pandemics. We’ve had pandemics for the entirely of human history that occurred completely without human intervention. But science and medicine have eliminated many other potential pandemics and I think learning more about how a virus mutates and how we might be able to influence that is worthwhile research.

If fauci's head is on a pike, the next tyrant doesn't go fund more deadly research

I believe mgt made the argument that some fractions of govt spending wasn’t worth addressing because it wouldn’t change his life ?

If we ensure more visibility toward government expenditures and demand more proactive oversight from Congress on that spending, we’d accomplish what I’ve been told is the plan by our Republican-led government without imprisoning scientists. I don’t *need* punitive measures, I just want the government itself to be accountable. It’s much like the CEO shooting. I want insurance to be less ****ed up, not for whichever business goblin is currently in charge of one of those companies to be murdered. Systemic problems cannot be solved by going after individuals playing a minor role in them.

You, like everyone else, would not pay attention to these things.

The only deterrance is punishment.

I believe that government spending is too high, but that there are many, many ways to reduce it that don’t involve the social safety net. To wit, I think more money is actively wasted on inefficiency in our military and federal law enforcement programs than could ever be hoped to be gained by people defrauding federal welfare programs.

What good would come of punishing criminals?

An actual utterance on this forum.

I feel the same way with Trump’s legal cases, to be honest. It’s certainly possible, if not likely, that he violated campaign finance laws and committed some of the crimes he’s been charged with. But it wouldn’t have bettered my life to see him in prison for those crimes when the actual problem is money in politics. Going after him if he broke a specific law in his actions simply doesn’t better my life when the system is still just as broken.

I don't understand that if Fauci was implicated in funding the creation of a.virus that killed hundreds of thousands of Americans, and also lied constantly about it, why you wouldn't want him punished

I really don't get this attitude but you've consistently made the argument that criminals should not be punished for their crimes

That sounds like a problem for our elected officials to solve by talking to their constituents, not by imprisoning an old man as a warning shot.

Trumps 'crime' is contrived as retribution.

Bidens crimes are clearly leeragin influence for personal riches. Fauchi literally went around both Obama/Trump and worked with the CCP on gain of fucntion research (along with NIH running the show) that led to a pandemic that killed millions worldwide.

Its shocking, even coming from you, that you equate these things and don't want punishment levied.
