Looking forward to the next Saturday night Democrat debate.

So, just to clarify. You believe that people won't vote for HRC because our country has an issue with gender bias.

I agree with that sentiment on a macro level, but in this specific case I see that as a red herring. One doesn't need to stretch that far to muster up a strong case not to vote for her. That doesn't make me a sexist.

I'm guessing most of the folks on here who refuse to vote for Hilary would, in fact, vote for Carly

57 is just a moron

He said that exact thing Saturday night.

It is expected the next POTUS will have a boat load of Supreme Court Justice appointments. I have read as many as 4.
Of course Sanders will campaign for Clinton.

Plus if you listen , their policy goals are not that far apart. Their differences are more along the lines of how we reach those goals .
My guess is the short list of court appointees would be very similar. On womens health, poverty, guns, education, infrastructure , tax and climate they are very close. In fact you can't fit a piece of paper between them.

Contrast their stances on the above issues and mix in foreign policy and they are both 180 degrees from the (R) field.
Again, Sanders made their solidarity a point of emphisis Saturday.
But, if your policy source comes through the filter of Fox,Drudge and Brietbart you won't know or understand that.

I f you sat on the couch and watched the Jets and Cowboys Saturday night instead of waiting for Hillary -- you won't know that either

What Hilary says today and her actions in the past are two very different things.

If Bernie isn't smart enough to understand that, then he's dumber than I originally thought.

Hilary is as close to Republican philosophy as many of the Republicans on stage... she's just a better liar

it's not party politics. He isn't part of the democratic party

he cares more about Dems putting seats on the bench than Republicans (which is why i am voting Dem no matter what cause i don't see a thing that i would vote for on the republican side that is in contention to win) if he isn't elected President

Wait, so you're gonna vote HIllary, even if you claim to greatly prefer Sanders and had donated or whatever to Ron Paul's campaign?

Yeah

I will vote for the democratic candidate in the presidential election no matter who is on that side. the Judges are too important to let the fascist party and religious crazies get to pick those people.

while saying that, I hope it is Bernie Sanders that is that person I am voting for

She is a moderate republican

been saying that around here for years

i really don't get why the republicans hate her and Obama so much. They are from that party honestly. The base just keeps pulling that party crazier and crazier that even moderate republican ideas are "communism" now to them

I try to watch both sides and start with good intentions, but about 10 minutes is my limit. After that I won't even watch the so-called 'important' clips the media tries to force feed the public.

Not me , like a baseball game I want to see every pitch, every warm up throw I come early to watch BP and pregame stretching.
Guessing that makes me what Hunter S Thompson labeled a "political junkie"

In these debates, who is still sharp at the 90 minuted mark, who rushes their answers or thoughtfully constructs sentences. Yes they are well rehearsed but pinch hitters for example work in the cages below the stands then come up and either have a patient thoughtfull AB or come out swinging from their heels. Popping up the first pitch

HRC was 2 hours very impressive Saturday. She had the most facts and info at ready recall from minute one to nimbly answering the china and flower arrangement question. (another conversation for later)
She gracefully said "sorry" as someone would re entering your living room for missing a few minutes of a good conversation.

I am an un apologetic Lefty and would prefer Sanders. But after Saturdays performance feel more comfortable with Clinton.

What actions?

Outside her vote to authorize Bush in Iraq, she and Sanders I would guess have very similar voting records.
In some cases she far to the left of Sanders and some not so much -- end of the day, there really isn't that much "long game" difference

Her lies ?

Would be curious to see her "lies" stacked up against any one else running for POTUS

I detailed all of her past mistakes in another thread and you ignored them per usual... said something to the effect of "she's evolved and she's changed and blah blah"

Not going to do it again. It is worthless discussing anything with you when it comes to D or R

2 years too late.

He is what you call a certified SHEOPLE, no matter what the Dems do, it is good, whatever the Reps do it is bad.

People like us are the common sense folk who sees the bad in good and both parties and would call them out.

I get hammer by both sides, just like, you, as Independents they can't stand us.

Even as Independents, we disagree on a lot of things for both sides, that is normal. :)

I would guess being in public service / on public display for over 40 years she would have a few "past mistakes "
shoot, you yourself all of 25 have changed your stripes at least a couple of times since Scout days.
Be like bringing up Trump destroying the USFL and UGA football.

Clinton was heading up a commission to define a health care policy before you were potty trained
She worked on Nixons Impeachment fer chriise sakes
And you want to fault her for changing her stance over that time ?

Let's measure her "lies" against her current opponents if you like. Trump, Cruz,Rubio,Fiorina, Christie, Carson, Sanders and O'Malley
Context -

Plenty of worth discussing politics with me, just have your game in order . Some how when ever we discuss politics the discussion always turns into you and yer little buddy calling me names. Kinda like Gatom was with gold back in the day.

You only want to discuss politics with people that agree with you ? Rather Trumpian -- would you have me extracted from the forum?
We disagree --- so what

Remember that time I called y'all the Children of Wilbo ?
:)

any one that watched Saturday would realize that without a doubt the most polished (prepared, articulate, camera ready, authentic)

candidate is HRC.

Not saying she'd make the best President, but the best candidate.

I ask again, who watched ?

Authentic? I don't deny the rest - but "authentic?"

I just don't see the point of starting a fire of sexism accusations just because some may disagree with you that she would be a good president. If we want to be weary of gender bias, then it's only fair for her to be critiqued, just like any other candidate, without fear of being labeled a sexist.

But that's what 57 does. It's easy, lazy, and wrong; but, it's what he does.

So you're willing to sacrifice your values so one corporatist peon will nominate a judge instead of a different corporatist peon?

Commenting on something you didn't see --

" It's easy, lazy, and wrong; but, ... "

You used the adjective to describe her as a candidate, not merely her performance. Therefore, it doesn't matter whether I saw that specific event or not. Try again.

Why in the world would you use "authentic" to describe her?

Now that Lindsey Graham has dropped out let's not be confused by the dog whistle of "Queen"

I don't see anyone here critiquing her policies. I see a lot of character and gender references -- but, no policy discussions.

chop, did you read the essay on sexism as it would apply to HRC?
