Minor League Thread Part Deux

Eric Hartman continues to rake. People really need to take notice here. He's certainly seems better than the 25th best prospect or whatever BS that one site was spitting out. .390 wOBA since coming off the IL on July 2nd. And he turned 19 only 2 months ago.

John Gil staying hot too.
Forgot to mention, Hartman has also swiped 41 bags on the season.

He does not sit high 90's although he can touch it. I think he's better when it's sitting 94...his repeatable delivery is refreshing and his 94 FB looks like 97-98 when's got good command of all his pitches.
just want to add he was sitting ~92 last season but the average velocity is up to 93.7 this year, and looks like it has gradually increased as the year has gone on

it's nice that he seems to be trending up without affecting his command, especially since most of the reports i see on the scouting sites haven't updated their grades to account for the bump

He needs to be on some top 100 lists so he can get us a ROY pick next year.

I wish they get him some work in LF. 3b and 1b are settled for quite awhile. Of course, he may be a future DH anyways. But he's always had a decent bat.
Yeah, I always coupled him and Baldwin together. I actually thought McCabe would end up being the better prospect but then he had to get TJS and Baldwin went crazy...

Similar builds, both from smaller colleges, taken in back to back rounds... one's a lefty, one's a switch hitter... both can take a walk and the K-rates not too bad. It's nice to see McCabe bounce back from what was essentially a lost year due to injury.
