Shumate was a stud at Hartsville HS.

Wasn't he a two-sport stud? I thought I read when he was drafted that he had a couple of scholarship offers to play QB at what are now FBS schools.

He was the QB and good, but can't recall his offers. I can't remember if they won a state title with him but I know they played for one. But seems like he was baseball all the way.
