Lmao..you talking about Hernandez?Probably much better than that short fat dude AA wasted the 4th round pick on last year.
lol. Yeah. Just didn’t get picking a guy not even ranked in the top 300 in the 4th round.Lmao..you talking about Hernandez?
Probably so in the 2nd half. I'd bring up Waldrep and let him take his lumpsWe’re going to see Ritchie soon aren’t we?
Why did they demote Mejia after 1 game at AAa?Mejia and Braun both with 3 scoreless innings today in AA. Braun went 9 up, 9 down with 3 K and Mejia only allowed 1 hit.
I imagine this wave of promotions to AAA is intentional. We likely will see several members of our pen traded in the coming weeks. So we'll have plenty of opportunity to add guys to the 40 man. And I imagine we will cut bait with guys like Suero, Chavez, Wentz, etc. We’re going to see Ritchie soon aren’t we?
I think Wentz may get a longer look seeing he has had some--though very isolated--success at the major league level. The fact that Chavez is on the roster is a real indictment on the Braves.I imagine this wave of promotions to AAA is intentional. agreed.. no need to rush JR.. let him cook in AAA next year too.. he can force his way up if he does well.I think Wentz may get a longer look seeing he has had some--though very isolated--success at the major league level. The fact that Chavez is on the roster is a real indictment on the Braves.
I'm with Hudson on Waldrep, but in what looks like it's shaping up to be a lost season, I don't know why they would bring Ritchie up. Deester may correct me seeing that he has watched Ritchie in person, but I get the impression that at this point Ritchie is a pitchability guy who needs to add a bit of strength and maybe an MPH or two to his fastball.
I think one place the Braves have excelled is finding guys that for some reason or another didn't pan out in different organizations and getting quality innings out of them. In the case of Holmes, I think some of it revolved around his recovery from shoulder injuries, but Dylan Lee is another example of a guy that couldn't break through to the big leagues that the Braves have turned into a contributor. de los Santos may be another.I know Holmes is an exception but sometimes those guys just figure out when they get a chance or change of scenery so maybe Suero is one of those guys also. In a lost season just keep him around. But Chavez should have retired already.
