Florida Complex League season ends next week, so the high school guys probably will just go to the Florida complex and work with the instructional staff. I can't figure out why the season is so short. First, they move the draft to the second week of July and then they truncate the rookie league season.

So the high school guys won't get much work in this year in games much. I'm guessing Lodise and the college guys get to playing in the next week or 2

No one considers Lodise a likely utility man
 
The Dick Howser trophy is a big deal that Lodise won this year. Here's a list of a few of the past winners. And there's a lot more good ones. This is a big get bc his numbers are eye popping. My favorite pick of the draft.

Just seems odd that past winners seem to all be 1st rounders. There's been some flops too - Brendan McKay, Seth beer, and Kevin kopps. Ivan Melendez seems to on way to flipping. Hopefully our guy is a good example in 2 years

At the end of the day it only takes one team to fall in love with a player. They got talent, but yes...some weren't viewed as highly as the Braves had them but that's the science of why the Braves do things the way they do. 2 teams were in on The #1 pick in the latter part of round one. A lot of people like this draft. A lot of people are just OK with it. I'm not as big a fan of it as Huddy and ZB...but I'll wait until I see them to guess how they play out.
 
I'm just glad to see offense being made a priority. SS is the most athletic position on the field so if you can play there then you can play anywhere pretty much. Sure some of these guys will flame out but I like the upside.

For sure... it may end up being a terrible draft... that's the thing about the MLB draft... you just can't know until 3 or 4 years, but I loved the approach and I love the raw upside of the big 4. I also like the under the radar potential of Miller, Dixon Williams, and some of the relief ish looking prospects. I hope we look back on this draft as a good one.
