Who has Brooklyn beat since February 1st?
Am I saying that they are one of the best teams in basketball? I'm just saying that they don't suck and could surprise someone in the East in the first round since all the teams aside from Miami/Indiana are highly flawed. You just continue to say that they suck and you probably have seen them play once or twice this year. Just turn on the TV and watch them. Their ball movement is beautiful and Deron Williams is rounding into form to a level of play that you would expect from him.
Picking up Thornton has really helped them. He will shoot them out of some games but he is helping them right now.
Blatche has been good since he came to Brooklyn. Guy is very skilled for such a big man.
The team has great depth (as I said at the start of the year). They are not relying on Paul Pierce or KG. They are third/fourth/fifth options and in that role they are excellent.
Pierce and Garnett are terrible. You must still be caught up in name recognition.

Brooklyns strength is that they have a lot of options. Pierce has been just fine this year. He isn't what he used to be obviously but he is asked to be the 3rd/4th option. He can handle that just fine. KG is a bit more of a lost cause but has been better since he was moved to the center position (as Brule noted yesterday).
Joe Johnson is still a reliable scoring option and excellent late game option to get a bucket when its needed.

THis sounds really stupid and makes it seem like some writer just taking a pot shot for no reason. Who cares how many 10 assists games a small forward has? Has many 10 assist games do Paul George, Paul Pierce, Rudy Gay, Chandler Parsons have?
George had 4 last year which from that tweet is as much as Melo has had in his entire career. George is 23.
Pierce had 5 in 05/06 (random year search)
Parsons isn't in the same discussion as Melo but he has had 2 the last two years
Rudy Gay has always been overrated (third tier player at best)
Melo is uber talented but will never be a winner because he is shoot first / shoot second/ shoot third / maybe pass fourth / shoot fifth / etc....
I guess Durant, Westbrook, Love, Aldridge etc wont be winners bc they shoot a lot.

What are you talking about? You are usually an arbitrary number of assists to determine whether that means a person passes the ball a lot or not.

Pierce at his absolute peak averaged 5 assists per game, he's under 4 per game for his career.
Then you totally dismiss two other small forwards.

The fact of the matter, all the crying over a small forward not passing the ball enough is really dumb. For one, its a small forward, not a point guard and his assists numbers are in line with players that play his position. For two, assists always rely on the guy on the other end making a basket.

Its foolish to me to use an argument that this guy passes in line with his positional status. Melo is a "great player". Therefore, he should only be compared to other great players. I don't care that Melo gets more assists than PJ Tucker. Melo more than basically any player in basketball looks to shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot. Much like Kobe was but Kobe was better.
My response to that would be Durant sits 4th quarters when the team is blowing out the other team as opposed to two of those guys on that list.
Anthony averages more assists than Mchale, Malone, Parish, Reed, Ewing, McAdoo, Wilkens, The Dream, Robinson, Gervin; among a long list of other hall of famers.

No, the initial argument was that its embarssing that a center has more 10 assists games in the last month + than Melo has in his entire career.
I said I don't care about comparing Melo is other SF's in the league CURRENTLY because they are scrubs.
