You guys pay way too much attention to what guys say vs. get paid. Just like Melo taking less money from the Knicks, but everyone just thinks he's money hungry.
I would be fine with a guy taking max money if he said flat out I want max money but some guys talk about winning all the time and they know that by taking max it hurts their chances of winning.
I would never begrudge a man for taking as much as he can get. But I would wnat them to be honest in them saying that their primary focus.

I still think oyu guys are going to miss Ariza a lot. People outside of Washington don't realize just how good he was last year on both sides of the ball.
Apparently people in Washington don't realize how good he was last year either. He was a solid defensive 3 that can stand in the corner and make 40% of threes. That is about it. He benefited from playing with John Wall and having the best 3 point shooting season of his career. Webster can stand in the corner and make 3s at the same rate.

And isnt close to as good of a defender, they'll miss Ariza alot.
If they coulda kept Ariza, signed Blair/Booker, arguably would be East favorites.

Obv. Durant is no Lebron, but Durant hasn't been surrounded by guys as good as Wall and Beal will be in 2016. And of course vets will flock to Washington on mid level and minimum deals.

I would like to have kept Ariza, but he's pretty redundant and beefing up the frontcourt was more important with Nene always getting hurt. Webster is a better shooter than Ariza, just not as good of a defender. The combo of Porter/Webster/Pierce (plus being able to bring back Gortat and add Blair/Humpries) is much better than keeping Ariza.
Hah, sure thing on that. First off you have no clue how good Beal will be and Wall is not as good as Westbrook. Keep thinking the Thunder don't have elite talent outside of KD.
Westbrook and Wall are pretty close. I'll take the guy that actually is a point guard.
Who on OKC roster is as good as Beal will be in 2 years?
