NBA Thread

Am I crazy to think golden state might be the best team in the NBA? A finishing lineup of curry/thompson/iggy/Green/Bogut is really good and multi talented. Elite defenders and shooters.

West is just too good.

They're really good, Klay might be the best SG in basketball.

Draymond was rated as one of the best defenders last season if I recall. There isn't anything he can't do on the court. He isn't a finished product by any means. He is extremely smart and is al all around good player. He has great vision and has elite passing skills for a guy his size. He's a quality shooter although his three point shot need needs to get better and it will.

But yeah I guess he isn't a good enough player.

Considering he defends, I'm pretty sure he is. His combination of defense and long-range shooting is also one reason I think Golden State received way too much negative criticism for being unwilling to include Thompson in a Kevin Love deal.

I'd love to have Green. Really good player for sure

Iggy is definitely getting up there but he is a useful player if he is your second best defender and fourth/fifth best offensive player.

You are totally lost if you don't think Draymond Green is good. I can't believe you would even say that. Have you ever watched him play?

He's the equivalent of the scrappy white utility infielder with solid defense.

And the ability to stretch the floor and shoot threes while being a solid rebounder for his position. Plus he is young and improving. I'm sorry GF you are dead wrong on him.

Hey, remember when I said that Ibaka was going to be a good three point shooter?

Guy is an absolute stud.

Lance Thomas is their backup wing right now.

That's how depleted they are.

Rubio is getting so damn good.

Minnesota is a great team to watch. Love leaving was the best thing that could have happened to them.

Demarcus Cousins, the first player in the last 28 years with 30pts 10reb in less than 23 minutes. My ninja.

Kings 4-1 for the first time since I was in high school.

Cousins is such a beast but needs to improve his conditioning. He asked out of the game last night after 5 minutes in the first quarter.

At this point I'd put cousins as a top 5 player. He is that good.

Houston letting Parsons go looks brilliant now.

Yeah, its looking great for them because Ariza is a better three point shooter and defender which is exactly what they needed.

They haven't exactly played any great teams as of yet so it will be interesting to see how they do against the top teams in the West.

Also, Cleveland is seeing the dangers of a shoot first, shoot second "point guard:

Or the dangers of a Lebron who isn't as good as the Lebron of 3 years ago.

It takes time for a team to gel. They will be really good by the time the playoffs roll around and be ready for a title starting next year.

This stuff doesn't happen in basketball overnight.

Yeah he's always had bad conditioning but that was weird. Guess it was tiring putting up an average centers production within the first 5 minutes. Now that he's become a good defender, he's starting to put himself up there with the top players in the league. The refs are starting to treat him differently now as well. Now only if the fans would wake up and get him in the all star game.

The difference in this team has been getting rid of Isaiah Thomas and picking up Darren Collison. Thomas can score with the leagues best but he's a horrible defender and is a dribble, dribble, dribble, shoot PG. He might get you 25 but he's going to cost you 30 on the other end. Now that Collison is on the team, the opposing teams guards aren't just running through the paint on every possession. Makes the entire teams defense look great even though it's the same 4 out of 5 guys starting.
