Chicago i dont think had the cap room either, and LBJ was only taking short-term deals.

Correct. Gasol took a huge discount to sign, for instance. Prior to that, cap-room was the reason the Bulls were trying to trade for Carmelo early in the summer, then extent him; he also would've needed to take a sizable discount to sign with Chicago (and, in retrospect, I'm somewhat glad he didn't).

Somewhat? Bulls wouldn't be nearly as good as they are now if they had Melo instead of Gasol. Dodged a HUGE bullet there.

You're missing the point, you go all-in on anything Thunder/Brave/SF but you "don't buy" Anthony Davis. That's ****ing hilarious.

Also, Harden is a better 2 way player than Butler this year as he ranks 2nd in D Win Shares and is a worlds better offensive player.

LOL Harden still sucks on defense.

Stop it.

He averages 5 more PPG while taking way more shots than Butler and cant hold a handle to Butler's defense.

RPM is relatively new but I think its promising.

B-ref has his defensive rating at 102 and that gets down to a points allowed metric. I think it shows he has much to learn. Now with his ability he can get there easily but he has a long ways to go.

But hey, we could use RPM if you want. Andre Roberson is the 24th best player in the league! I WAS RIGHT!!

Instead of taking the bait to argue Roberson, let's just address the issue that you said Butler > Davis.

I think a better argument might be whether or not Durant is better than him. Because that's BECOMING a legit debate.

It's pretty apparent imo that he's going to be LBJ's successor as the top dog in the league.

Its possible but only until Davis learns an effective post game since he can't initiate offense off the dribble.

I'm not worried though because KD has proven himself to be a generational type player. You guys take Davis and I'll take KD every single day.

You are right that he can improve. However, he is easily the best PNR big guy in the league which matters so much more in 2014 than back to the basket peach basket basketball.

He's a better version of what KG was in his prime which is insane.

Also just so you know, I love Durant. He's incredible. You wouldn't be wrong for taking him over Davis or LeBron. He's the best version ever of what he is.

Hold on now in terms of offensively comparing him to KG. KG came to the league with the ability to post up as well as set up his teammates. Overall, Davis has the potential to be better than KG but right now he isn't there yet. KG was a phenomenal player.
