Btw, how are the Hawks winning if you can only win with stars? Unless you think they will flameout in the playoffs.

My meaning of star is a LBJ, KD, Russ, Steph, Harden, CP3, AD, etc. Those types.

Do you consider Klay" a star?

Holden would take MKG over Harden so take his thoughts with a grain of salt.

Don't forget Curry and Westbrook.

Seriously though, you guys act like Towns is a bum offensively. He's not. He has great post moves and a soft touch. He is a good passer and can handle the ball a little bit.

He's not Okafor, at all, but that's more a credit to Okafor than it is a knock against Towns.

Of course Towns doesn't because he's not nearly as good offensively.

Kentucky actually runs their offense through Towns when it gets down to crunch time. He pretty much single-handedly carried them to victory against Georgia by dominating at the offensive end.

He doesn't get the touches that Okafor does because 1. he doesn't get the same minutes and 2. Okafor is unstoppable.

If you average their stats over 40 minutes, Towns is only a couple PPG behind Okafor and he has like 4x the blocks.

Its 5 but the entire defense focuses in

Okafor

I like Towns a lot but hes just too raw at this point. Okafor has elite post moves

I think Anthony Davis needs to be in the discussion of the MVP. That guy is so crazy efficient and he doesn't demand the ball so it allows the rest of the team to run as designed. What a player.

Didn't you argue earlier in the year he doesn't create his own shot?

THE PANIC PART TWO!

Former NBA executive Tom Penn thinks Russell Westbrook's recent hot streak could have the Thunder thinking about trading Kevin Durant.
Espousing a theory that would have been laughed at just six months ago, Penn thinks Thunder general manager Sam Presti will look to trade Durant if he doesn't a commitment that Durant will re-sign with Oklahoma City when he becomes a free agent after the 2015-16 season. While we have a long way to go before anything happens, Westbrook's otherworldly play as of late makes this an option that Presti at least has to consider if Durant won't commit to staying with the Thunder.

Yawn...wake me up when he actually signs elsewhere. Its either OKC or DC and OKC has a much better/younger team.

Yeah they're gonna trade the 2nd best player in the league.

No idea if KD will stay but they arent trading him unless they're getting someone like AD.

Tom Penn is an idiot.

He'll play the year out and decide for either OKC or DC, been saying it for the past year.

I would assume he has more connections than you and probably knows a LITTLE bit more than you. Also you should probably never call anyone an idiot.

Tremendous piece in Grantland today about improving the D-Leauge. I suggest reading it for the avid NBA fans.

That article was written by an agent that wants to maximize his earnings so let's try not to act like his idea was based on the best interests of basketball players.

Teams aren't going to want to pay 18 year olds 1st round contracts to play in the D-League, aint going to happen.

A better way would be a system similar to baseball. But, there are a ton of minor league baseball players that will never see the light of day in the majors so you have a ton of pointless teams.

College is a much getter system for these kids than other type of pro deal. These kids aren't ready at age 18 to be on their own. I do like the idea of forcing kids to stay in college for 2 years (which is realistically the best for the kids in the long term for 90% of them).
