I really like Washington. They are a very relentless defensive team and Wall is constantly creating shots.

Sleeper team in the East.

Need Korver back. Hopefully he finds his stroke before the playoffs. He's the most important player we have.

When you don't have a PG that is playing well its difficult to score. Exum needs to take a giant step next year to just get to that average level.

If they had a coach with half a brain, they could be a threat in the east. A very good defensive team (without a rim protector.... :), but the offensive philosophy is flawed. (they also clog the lane and have no spacing, btw)

Wittman encourages mid range jumpers and sits GOrtat out in 4th quarters. When we've played Wall/Beal/Porter/Pierce/Big Man we've been effective, but Wittman refuses to put Pierce at the 4.

They really don't have guys that can create there own shot either. And the big guys are skilled, but not guys that are consistent offensive threats.

Yeah, you need to rely on your offense from your wing players in the current NBA or else you are screwed.

I can't believe how skilled Kanter is on the offensive side of the ball. I'm sure it doesn't help that I've watched Perkins and Ibaka the last few yeras trying to score in the painted area. Either way, I can't imagine there are 5 other big men in the league right now who are better than Kanters on the offensive side of the ball.

Defense he is a dumpster fire for the most part.

Hayward can create his own shot.

They are a classic modern team that when the three ball is dropping then they can score, but when it's not they can't. It's that simple.

I wouldn't call him a top 5 offensive big man because he can't pass well out of the post. But he's got good post moves.

I'm trying to think though. Who is better than him offensively overall as a big man?

Cousins
Davis (more of a perimeter player really but lets count him)
Jefferson
Horford
Gasol
Randolph
Jonas
Gasol, Pau
Lopez
Vuc
LMA (More of a shooter at this point)
Duncan
Blake (turning into a shooter for some strange reason)

I'm not sure all those guys are better offensively then Kanter. Am I missing someone?

When I talk about offense I am talking about in hte painted area. Dirk hasn't been there in 5+ years. Bosh is a good example even though he doesn't operate there often enough anymore.

Why is offense just considered scoring in the paint?

Even if they were healthy, i dont think they were beating GS.

GS would go insane from 3.

Just a ridiculous year from an injury standpoint.

They arent gonna tank but with Serge's health and KD being up in the air, i dont see the point in making the playoffs. Tank and add a lottery type talent to the team, keep Kanter, and reload for next year.
