What are you basing this assumption off of?
You're making assumptions in the midst of facts.

That LeBron doesnt take as many shots as KD?

LeBron even said as such, article on ESPN about it, LeBron toy.

Regression to the mean is applicable in all instances. The amount of regression is the assumption.

False. The mean includes those who are below, at, and above average. LeBron is above average, so you would expect him to always be above average. He's taken enough shots this year and is still at 60%. You can't compare his % to the avg of all players, because he's well-above average.

Your concept is incorporated into the fact that Lebrons regression will be less than others. You don't have to regress to the mean, you regress towards the mean.

Thats when he stops getting better?

Sure, Jordan is probably the best player of all time but he played on great teams as well. Its a team game dominated by indviduals. If Westbrook is healthy the Thunder are winning a title this year.

In the end championships are what matter. And the truly great players find a way to win them eventually.

Tell that to Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, Stockton and Malone, as well as Barkley.

Even Doc Halladay never won a championship.

Teams win championships, not individuals.

You cannot compare basketball to football or baseball. 1 player in backetball (20% of the personnel on the floor) is a much larger influence than a baseball player (unless a pitcher could throw every inning) or a football player.

Barkley.....lol
