So he's top 10 all-time, gets better and better every year, is closing the gap on Bron BUT he has no rings.....that does not add up

How does it not add up? Jordan had to go through the Pistons but he was on his way to top 10. KD has a pretty good player in front of him now and would have had another shot with a historic regular season team last year had RW not gotten hurt. Would they have won...maybe not but they would have gone more than the 5 games a year earlier.

I have said that KD will be top 10. I never once said he is top 10 all time RIGHT NOW.

Whats this historic regular season BS?

Differential in offensive/defensive efficiencies as well as point differentials. Look it. The Thunder were dismantling teams last year and were doing it again this year when RW was healthy.

Basically, yes.

You're referring to literally the opposite of literally, which is "figuratively."
They are not actually, physically, on his back - that is literal - he is carrying them in games, which is figurative..that is not literal.

Great year but he didn't even win MVP....I just don't get how you can't say this KD + pass first PG + whatever big you get/picks for RW isn't better setup to win it all. This KD in the playoffs? Not having to defer to RW and his antics.....give them a much better chance at a ring than with RW taking away from KD.

What should they trade him for?

Still waiting.

Be realistic here.

They won 60 games, nothing historic. (Heat won 66)

They had a SRS of 9.15...nothing historic, many teams have matched or beaten.

I believe there were only 6 teams in the history of basketball that had the splits that I mentioned above. Thats a historic regular season. Not saying they were the best team of all time or anything but you have to recognize that they were one of the most dominant regular season teams of all time last year and then got smacked by Memphis. I'm sure that had something to do with RW getting hurt.

Umm, Russ defers to KD late in games alot.

Also, just for kicks, what would you trade Russ for realistically.

I would like to know.

If you say role players, picks, and saving cash, this convo is over.

KD, while great needs another star to help him out, all of them do.

Tyson and Shumpert for RW!

I'd go after Conley and Zbo .....I'd also hit up Utah for Favors or Kanter +....there are a ton of obvious landing spots for him.

Actually, no one's been better than the Thunder in average margin of victory (MOV) since the title-winning 2007-08 Boston Celtics, who outscored opponents by an average of 10.3 points a game. What's more, only six teams in the 3-point era (since 1979-80) have been more dominant on the scoreboard. And here's the kicker: All six of those teams ended up holding the Larry O'Brien Trophy at the end of the season. Not bad company, huh?

MOST DOMINANT TEAMS BY MOV (3-point era)
Team W-L W pct. MOV Title?
1995-96 Bulls 72-10 .878 +12.2 Yes
1996-97 Bulls 69-13 .841 +10.8 Yes
1991-92 Bulls 67-15 .817 +10.4 Yes
2007-08 Celtics 66-16 .805 +10.3 Yes
1985-86 Celtics 67-15 .817 +9.4 Yes
1986-87 Lakers 65-17 .793 +9.3 Yes
2012-13 Thunder 52-19 .732 +9.2 ?

Ugh to the Memphis deal. Why trade a young superstar for a player who has about a year of solid play left and a really good PG but not a stud?

If Utah wants to give up Favors/Burke and multiple first round picks I would think about it for about a second but then I woudl say no.

YOu continue to underrate RW. I just don't get it.

Have you seen what Conley is doing this year? He is the perfect fit for KD, get him out of Memphis where he has to score more than he needs to and he would bump his APG to 8-9 a game.

I'm not knocking RW, I've said countless times I would take him on the Knicks BUT he isn't right for KD....he's holding him back and is to much of a alpha-male to compliment KD. It's about building the right TEAM around KD for his prime....

Why do you not believe this is the right team? What are reasons that this doesn't fit?

Also, I've always been a Conley fan and you used to mock me for that.

Conley is intriguing.

ZBo, meh.

LOL at the Utah offer though.

I just told you why, he's to much of an alpha-male to go with KD....unless he turns himself into Wade, which I don't see happening. He takes shots away from KD, he is to out of control some of the time, he wants the last shot, turnovers, shoot first PG, etc, etc, etc.

I just fail to see with the tear that KD is on, how you won't admit that getting a pass first PG with other pieces is a better fit for KD. It's obvious to everyone, just look at what KD is doing without him. You want your immortal talent to be the guy, not have to fight with someone who thinks they are on that level. In the playoffs it shouldn't be a question, it's KD's ball and KD's shot....that isn't happening with RW running the point.

When was the last time you saw RW try and steal the last shot from KD. He ALWAYS defers to KD...ALWAYS.

You don't want your star player to have to do so much. Maybe he does turn into Jordan and can carry the load every single game all by himself.

Lebron doesn't do that. Wade takes over at different points in a game. A team needs that. The thunder need that.

You act like RW blows up on the team and is effective the chemistry. The team loves eachother.

LOL at you LOL'ing at a 22 year old 14 and 10 center that is a stud on D, really? Not really shocking coming from you. Favors is probably one of the most conveted young players in the league and is signed, cheaply.

RJ is a huge expiring and Burks is turning into a really solid combo guard.

Favors + Ibaka in the paint....that team has a shot vs Miami, a really, really good one.

You know what team also has a great shot at Miami? Ibaka/KD/Thabo/RJ/RW

YOu know having the second best player in basketball and a PG that NOBODY on the heat can stop.

Favors is a PF, as is Ibaka, so.......

So you'd trade RW for Favors, Burks and RJ with picks or no picks?

Highly debateable.

Also, RW usually defers to KD late in games, alot.

You dont think Reggie/Russ/KD/Thabo/Ibaka has a shot vs Miami?

What's Miami's record vs OKC the last 3 years? Including playoffs

I know the answer but I want to hear it from you
