You swap the worst center in the league for a perfect fit in Chandler, who is a beast defensively and an athletic big who can run the floor. He also only has 1 year left on his deal, so, not sure where "enourmous" comes from?

Westbrook is not what people make him out to be. You really just have to watch him play to understand just how much he impacts a game. This guy puts the other team in foul trouble. When you couple that with a top perimeter player like KD or Melo you are talking about shooting free throws all game. It started to click this year for Westbrook. Just look at his game log and see how many big assist games he had while not even playing huge minutes. He causes the opponent to rotate so much that guys are open left and right. When RW comes back the biggest benefactor is goign to be Ibaka. I think he assisted over 60% of Ibakas buckets when he was in the lineup. Now KD has good chemistry with Ibaka. Look for Serge to start averaging 18-20 points a night.

THat one year is big to the Thunder because it will push them into the luxury tax I believe. The Thunder don't need Chandler to win. They just demolished the Heat with their small lineup. KD is almost a PF at this point. He is learning how to use his length on defense to both bigger players and our rotations have been incredible for the last two years.

THe Thunder do not need anything else to win right now. They have all the pieces. They are easily the most talented team in the league. Presti is not going to trade a player that was having his best season.

Again the team was 21-4 with RW in the lineup and should have been 22-3. Why would anyone trade this guy?

Well we won't know until it happens, if it does at any point, but I would not bet on that being a great team. I just wouldn't.

I think a Westbrook/Melo PnR would be pretty sick. But, it doesn't even matter because the Thunder would never trade Westbrook.
 
It's tough to really see how Westbrook fits anywhere. His numbers (outside of shooting percentages) will always look good, but the problem is having a PG that wants to be the primary scorer on the team. Do you match him up with a dominant big man and force him to feed the ball down low? Do you match him up with a peremiter scorer like Durant and risk him taking the majority of the shots?

Westbrook is also a good free throw shooter and his ability to draw fouls dramatically helps the scoring output of a team. I can't even talk about this anymore because you guys see what you want to see and not the truth which is what the Thunder see. Presti gave RW a contract when he knew he could have given that contract to Harden two years down the road. The Thunder love RW and mostimportantly KD/RW get along great. The team dominated like they never did before this season with him in the lineup. RW is not going anywhere.
 
I don't think RW is going anywhere either. Don't really see a fit anywhere. Most teams have good PGs. (good for NBA)

It's funny how you talk about Melo when this is how you talk about RW.....hilarious to me.
 
Melo is one of the top players in the league. So yeah, that is how I talk about Melo. But, RW has a history of being willing to share the ball that far exceeds Melo's.

I would hope a PG gets more APG than a SF/PF....that would make sense, no?

They both shoot the same amount of times per game.

Are you implying that Melo doesn't have the ball in his hands alot? Melo should be able to avearge 5 assists a game just like KD. He gets doubled on most of his touches.

Did you even watch that Christmas day game when RW ripped your defense apart? RW is not what you guys make him out to be. The only year he didn't have high assist numbers was when the Thunder were trying to give Harden a bigger role (which he deserved). RW is a 7-8 assist a game guy and considering there are only a few guys who get 8 assists and above then thats pretty good.

It was finally starting to click this year for RW. He was understanding how he impacts teh spacing on the floor and how to see the whole floor. It was beautiful. The Thunder were by far a better team than they are now when RW was healthy which is scary.

Also, it allowed the second unit to score almost 40 points a game with RJ/Lamb destroying opposing teams second units.
 
So how about RW getting 13 assists against Indiana? Are you going to say they are a horrible defense as well? 10 against chicago?

I know I'm a big time RW homer but anyone that watched the Thunder played this year knew that RW was dominating like he never has before.

Then why are the Thunder a net of +2 since RW went down?
