Neverending **** the Police thread.

If you want to have an actual discussion on this I'm happy to.

But you've shown time and time you are incapable of such. Let me know if that's changed or let me know if instead you wanna hurl stupid insults

There's nothing to discuss. You're a boomer trying to explain away racism as if it isn't the spawn of "The Right". You're wrong, as conservatives have been consistently on all important social issues facing this country since its inception, and change is going to happen despite you kicking and screaming that it's not needed. Just like it always has despite the complaints of conservatwits.

"The Right" playbook when faced with progressive ideas on social issues has been the same for hundreds of years (downplaying, blame shifting, playing the victim), and you are simply keeping up with the tradition. Just like every single other social issue of any importance (gay rights, civil rights, desegregation, safety nets, labor rights, and even slavery itself), folks will look back 25 years later and say "why were those idiots arguing against those reforms?".

Oh right...THIS time is different. THIS time the conservatwits are right. Yeah...not so much.

Curious how did Minneapolis vote in last election?

What party is their governor?

What about their mayor?

How about their city council?

What about their senators?

What about their AG?

Just curious...

Maybe urban communities should keep voting the same way and this time will be different

Same could be asked of Georgia? Or Kentucky? Or Texas? Or any number of places where law enforcement/prosecutors have either killed or been complicit in not prosecuting the deaths of black people.

But in trying to pin this on one party, consider the possibility that the causality goes this way. Blacks vote for Democrats. So in places where there are more blacks there are also more Democratic office holders. Which in turns means more blacks will die (whether at the hands of police or otherwise) in places that are blue politically. Unlike some people around here, I wouldn't ascribe the preferences of black voters for Democrats to obtuseness on their parts.

Dirty little secret: Obamacare made a yuge (positive) difference in the lives of many black and other minority people who previously did not have medical insurance. Repeal would hurt the same people. Perhaps black voters realize this. Perhaps.

Black high school graduation shows that 4 of the top 5 states are 'right' states. [Tx/Tn/Ar/MD]

Conversely 5 of the worst 5 states are 'left. [Mi/DC/Or/Min/Nev]

So who is really holding back black people?

Was this happening at a dissproportionate rate in comparison to other races that would indicate it was driven by their race?

I'm younger than you.

While you go prove how woke you are by changing your instragram photo to a black square, I'll keep beating the drum of the backwards incentive structure for cops. I'll keep supporting bills like Amash's to end qualified immunity. I'll keep pointing out that dependency on government creates poverty which increases crime, which increases police interactions, which increases unacceptable police bruatlity... you know... data that thing you claim to love so much.

I happen to be pro gay rights, pro drugs, pro prostitution, pro liberty. But you can keep making dumb assumptions about me based on an opinion you don't like... you once called me a rapist who needs to die when I said I believed in due process, while you were showing your wokeness by defending the chick who claimed the SC justice was actually a gang rapists (she later admitted to lying, by the way)

Here's where you call me some name (i suppose it will be racist this time) and run away like usual.

Stick to baseball fella

There is a weird thing going around where data is not relevant for a discussion involving blacl America.

The answer is so simple even boomers can understand...

It's the fault of everyone, including me, that systemic racism still exists. We fell into this sense of "everything is fine" just because major reforms happened in the civil rights era that undoubtedly made things better.

The problem is "better" doesn't mean "fixed", and folks are starting to wake up to that fact. Most likely because now that their lives have slowed down they can take some time to look around a bit.

The problem is that one side, "The Right", is hell bent on white-splaining why it isn't an issue. And you are predictably playing your part in it because you blindly follow the orange shepherd.

Anyone want to field this one in a serious way?

Yet another terrible assumption from the dumbass.

I didnt vote for the Orange Man nor will I in 2020.

But you are predictably playing your part with the old fashion "EVERYONE'S A RACIST!!!" contribution.

Earlier you said "there is nothing to discuss"

This showed me once again you have no interest in progress. You are just like everyone else... you will end racism by silencing it.

Police brutality has an easy solution that our government wont be interested in solving.

This will be proven when Amash's bill will not get passed

The party of science is not interested in data

I'm wondering if this is the same with every relevant metric that gives a picture of success.

Its quite the raket dems have on brainwashing black people to think the southern white man is their tormentor.
