Why is this such a hard concept for people to understand? First time I've ever agreed with this guy

Could not agree more. Democrats had the Presidency and both houses of Congress for 2 years. There is no amount of power people can give Democrats to fix this. They could hold the Presidency, 100% of Congress, and the supreme court and will not solve the problem.




Everyone - "we tried nothing and are out of ideas"



Me and sturg - "then maybe give Libertarians a chance, you know the party that strongly advocates for civil rights"




Everyone - "How dare you!"
 
Well they sure made it easy to find the bad apples. Anyone who hires them back in law enforcement should be held financially and criminally responsible for any serious crimes they commit. At this point it would be negligent to hire any of them back.



2024 is looking like it's going to be a good year for Libertarians. No matter who wins I think the next 4 years are going to be ****. Democrats will inevitably be disappointed in Biden and most likely will be a 1 term President. Republicans could still be reeling from the miserable failure that was Trumps years. I think Rand Paul and Pence are going to be the top 2 in the Republican primary.

Looks like Thomas Lane's attorney is going to try and throw Chauvin under the bus. I do sympathize with Lane a little bit but he should be convicted to send a message to other cops. His lawyer said "what was he supposed to do throw chauvin off of Floyd?". My answer is, yes. If you see an attempted murder I expect you to stop it whether it's by another cop, the mayor, your boss, bozo the clown, anyone.



There is some in there about a criminal history for Lane but it's all piddly **** like noise complaints.

Cops shoot homeless man in a wheelchair with rubber bullets directly to his face. Looks like some of these cops are just reacting to it and are trying to say/do something. Whoever it was that fired on him needs to be locked up ASAP. Absolutely unforgivable. Remember Catalonia. Werent there some of you saying that cant or wont happen here.

I didnt catch this but the victim was trying to give a helmet of theirs back to them. For his gesture they left him bleeding from the head on the ground and stepped around him. Must be embarrassing for those of you who believe cops are the good guys.

This is what pisses me off. There are no nationwide protests about stuff like this.

I still contend the largest problem is police power and lack.of accountability much more than racism.

But I recognize me saying that could get me cancelled

You are exactly right Sturg. This is about police power and abuse against everyone. Floyd's death had nothing to do with his race. Systemic racisim is a problem but its only one aspect of the problem.

One better he should have shot Chauvin in the head. If George Zimmerman can get off as a civilian for protecting his life surely a cop can shoot someone to protect another life.

there really are and have been for years

Income inequality
you mocked #occupy if memory serves.
That was a predominately white protest.
Homeless people generally dont participate in protests for obvious reasons

Might want to read MLK on poverty.
