New Manager Discussion

I said this about him a few months ago:

My top choice for next Braves manager is

  • Danny Lehmann, 39, begins his third season as the club’s bench coach and eighth season overall, having previously been the game planning and communications coach.
That is exactly the type of talent the Braves need leading this team on the field.
Then I forgot about him because I also liked Schumacker, Melvin and now Lombard.

AA has several very good options to lead this team competently. He better not whiff.

So do we think the Braves are holding off on announcing a new manager until after the World Series bc they don't wanna take any spot light from the playoffs or are they are waiting on a candidate from the last 4 remaining teams (Lehmann)?

Not sure but I am a bit surprised nothing has leaked out even as far as someone having interviewed or being requested for an interview.

Just saw the Padres already had two potential candidates linked to them. Including old friend Flaherty.

Braves are probably the most attractive job in terms of winning now and in the future.

Orioles probably there too.

Padres most attractive job based on location of SoCal.

It was said on 680 the Fan this morning that Ross and DeRo have not yet been contacted. Dimino, who seems to have credible sources, was hinting about an announcement this week.
