Sure, but teams also are watching how players are throwing/hitting leading up to the deadline - it certainly isn't going to help if Garcia is stringing together bad starts.

If Phillips is traded, it's got to be Peterson and/or Camargo at 2B for the remainder of the year. I'd prefer the former, just because he's about to cost actual money soon, so we might as well give him one last shot to prove he's worth keeping around as a bench piece.
