Official 2022 Offseason Moves Thread

The Swanson story is interesting. He has one year left and 2 of the best SS in baseball are FA right now. Swanson trade bait? I don’t know if the casual fan could stomach losing both he and Freeman

Every sign or rumor points to the Braves not bringing him back. If the unthinkable happens and we fall out of the race he could be delt in July.

I love all these possible moves and signings being thrown around here…Completely ignoring the fact that Liberty is about to pocket the **** out of all that money and probably decrease payroll in the process.

AA just said today payroll is going up from last year. Whether it’s an increase because of profit or inflationary, who knows.

Man, Winkler to Seattle. Was really hoping we could get him.

Really wanted Winker for a while. LH masher. Not sure what Seattle gave up but I'd love to have Suarez and Winker. Move Suarez to 1B.

If the Reds are tearing it down, they still have some pieces.

Y'all keep confusing me with Winker and Winkler.

Winkler is the guy that broke his elbow throwing a pitch for us in opening week.

Why stop at 1 year?

He's going to require at least 6/180

Some speculation he'll take 1 year.
2 reasons:
1. Teams aren't offering long deals b/c of his health issues
2. He switched to Boras. If he signs a long term deal he has to share the profits with his old agent. If he signs a one year deal the commission is all Boras. Not sure if that is true, but I read it online.

I'd think if we traded Dansby it has to be to a team who sees themselves as a playoff team and is SS desperate. Yankees?

Didn’t think about the Yankees but that could work. It’s give their stud SS prospect another year in the minors.

Verified but I don’t believe this one bit…and how do y’all get the actual tweet to show I’ve been trying to figure that out for years now

[t w] [/t w]

Only the numbers for example from 1 to 4 before the ? in your tweet and obviously put the tw together (that's the only way it would let me give an example) and it will show up.

Now quote my post and it should work with whatever number is on your next tweeted post and just always change those numbers to the exact tweet.

We know they offered Cruz a deal and it was probably around 15 million for one year so we know we have at least that much more to spend plus the savings between FF and Olson. Greinke and Soler are doable if AA wants to.

Depending on how the Braves track buy outs, the current payroll is about $142M. I have no idea how they will project revenue in 2022 and beyond, but I would not be surprised at any 2022 payroll value under $180M. That leaves around $35M-$40 to spend with a hole in LF, the rotation, and a bench bat.

They could do Greinke ($10M), Conforto ($20M) and Joc ($10M) I think. That would be a pretty stout roster.
