Official 2022 Offseason Moves Thread

I have started to talk myself into 6/180 for Freddie…

As long as we can expect a payroll north of 180 then I don't see why not.

Its not how I'd like to spend the money but as long as it doesn't hamper other areas of team having Freeman as a life time Brave is not the worst possible outcome.

Even at his worst at the end of the deal I still think he will be a 110-120 wRC+ hitter.

if 6 years gets it done and the AAV isnt 35+, just give him 6 and end this **** already.

Today kind of feels like the trade deadline

There's still alot of FA's out there, for now. Freeman, Seager, Baez, Story, Correa, NickC, Jansen, Chris Taylor, Iglesias, Kershaw, Stroman, Suzuki. Dont know if all of them sign today but today is supposed to be a spree of signings. Just Ray and Scherzer so far.

Haven't the Braves or Rays taught these teams anything? Signing old players to big contracts is not how you win World Series' in this era.

I dont think a FA signing here or there is bad. But going crazy like the Mets are never works out, maybe the Mets are the first to sign a bunch of guys and win.

Don't forget Darren O'Day

I don't mind Ozuna back provided AA doesnt DFA him, if we cant clear his salary might as well have him on the roster. I'll get hate for it so whatever.

20 games is pretty light if we end up keeping him. Thats not bad at all. Might make him easier to trade if they want to do that.
