Don't think I would have done that deal for Soler. All the risk if he collapses, limited reward if he reestablishes himself.

That struck me as strange also. Freddie…of course the Dodgers were talking to you all the time(they wanted to sign you). Such a strange vibe. It’s like he wanted this validation that a guy that won a MVP and WS shouldn’t need. Strange.

He said he was upset Anthopoulos wasn't calling him everyday to court him and ask how his day was going. While Turner and Roberts were facetiming him from a wedding.

The Braves have been taking care of him for 15 years now. Chipper told him how AA operates.

Freddie is just plain ignorant/oblivious or dumb.

There’s definitely money to do whatever AA wants basically. I fully expect Correa to opt out next year and I fully expect AA to go full speed after him. Man that lineup would be crazy.

I would suspect AA - given what he has done- will make it a no opt out deal with serious enough money that Correa won’t care. The problem, of course, is that there will be heavy heavy competition ...

There wasn’t heavy competition for Correa this year. Xander will also opt out of his deal in Boston, so there will be 2 premium SS available plus a consolation prize in Swanson.

A team jumped early to sign Seager for huge dollars, and a team was patient and got Correa at a bargain. AA needs to stop the nonsense of jumping at guys early, and wait for the bargain.

I was fixin to say the same thing. Competition wasn’t heavy this year so I don’t expect that to change a lot. Trea Turner I believe becomes a FA so do the Dodgers keep Turner or go after Correa? That’s the only team I worry about.
