It's become apparent to me that AA is planning on having a pen to unleash on teams in the postseason. Hopefully he (or whoever managed) the dodger series in 2021 takes over the postseason this year
That's all well and good, but have we all not watched enough baseball to know how volatile bullpens can be? There will certainly be injuries and certainly be underperformance. There are still plenty of guys that can be had and none of them will cost an amount that will shrink the contention window. There hasn't been one pitching contract signed this offseason that would shrink the Braves' contention window. Maybe seven years for Nola is a bit much and heartburn-inducing.
