If they HAVE to choose a LF he might actually have a good case to win it lmao
Rosario 3 OOA
Happ -7 OOA
Peralta -2 OOA

I really don't see a bidding war happening for Heyward and Rosario seems like the type that will need to wait til February/March before he signs.
Lot's of good tidbits in here: https://live.jotcast.com/chat/braves-outlook-23-16692.html
Non-tendering Lopez is a terrible idea to save $3M.
Lots of moronic questions I'm surprised he bothered answering to be honest. Must have been a light queue.
And who are we trading to get a premier young talent that has affordable control left?
If we're selecting our platoon LF based on defense we're doing it wrong.
Heyward seems much more likely to regress to the sub-.700 OPS guy he was for most of his Cubs deal than what he showed last year in LA.
I think they'd be crazy to let Lopez walk. Arcia did well in 2023, but an established insurance policy wouldn't be the worst thing to have around
.Some moronic questions, but I didn't agree with several of his answers.
Having one SS on a great team friendly deal is not really a good justification for overpaying the other one… even if it is just by a little.
I suspect the years would be valuable enough to tempt Lopez.
Nicky at $4m for next year strikes me as a fantastic backup/contingency option. I’d like to see him get more time next year tbh. The defense is real and it’s spectacular.
No Sean Murphy. No Acuña, but Eddie...
I agree with the first part of your paragraph.
I am not the smartest baseball fan, but I was thinking how much Acuna and that contract would bring. We did as well without him in the postseason. Go get Ohtani.
Bidding war was probably the wrong term, but if the Braves budget < $10 MM and Heyward wants > $10 MM, he'll likely follow the money. Hard to believe we are talking between $8 MM and $10 MM for guys like Rosario and Heyward.
This is a very valid point, and the guy at MLBTR agrees:
"... I fall on the side that wants to keep Rosario...unless a legit upgrade is in the works.
