Very happy for him. He was a great Brave.

I loved JULIO - I remember one game against the Mets in a huge pressure situation - I think we were 1 game ahead - and he went 8 innings of like 1 hit ball - and they asked him after the game how he had dominated the lineup the third time through - and he said he hadn’t thrown his sinker one single time the first two times through the order - that he and McCann decided to save it for third time through …

Acuna, Arcia, and Murphy lead their position in early ASG voting and Riley is 2nd. Acuna is the overall vote getting in MLB right now.

On that note, the Braves are 6th in attendance this year, on pace for another 3 million fans

While controversial the team made the correct choice by going to Cobb County. Attendance and revenue have been great. Team is great. Braves fans have been spoiled by how well ran this franchise has been for the past 30+ years.

They nailed it with the Battery as well. I was afraid it was going to be like Ballpark Village in St Louis, with one building with a few duplicative bars and attractions. The environment before a game in the Battery is outstanding.

Anyone see that Drew Smith was ejected in last nights Mets/Yankees game before even throwing a pitch. The umpires did a random check as he was coming into the game and determined he had a foreign substance on his hand and glove.

Mets pitching is so bad they have to start cheating

The Battery is incredible. Perfectly executed.

yes, I feel like there is potential for more, especially with the long term living units as well as the short term stay hotels around that area. The only thing I wish they would do is mass transit to and from, but that is probably more a Cobb county thing than a Braves thing. When I was there last, we stayed at the Omni with a balcony view. Never got a ticket to any of the 3 games, but had a blast in and around the battery. I would like to see a few more places that open earlier (breakfast) and maybe something entertaining that doesn't involve baseball... something I could send the Kids to go do. Maybe that is there and I missed it.

btw, if you guys ever get a balcony view, they will just come in room prior to game to do a balcony check.. don't be doing something you don't want someone to see...

And the Braves were pretty much innovators in going with The Battery. Now nearly every other franchise who has the ability is looking to construct something similar.

When I was there for the World Series I stayed in downtown Atlanta. Pretty frustrating that unless you want to pay for an Uber, you have to take the subway/bus combo to get to The Battery, as opposed to having just one direct line from downtown Atlanta.

My memory of the time immediately after the move to Cobb was announced was that this was a very deliberate setup, and Cobb County absolutely, 100 percent did not want direct mass transit from downtown to Truist.

Agree with all on the lack of mass transit. That would definitely help. Parking is the one criticism from the Braves' end that I have. Being able to ride MARTA to somewhere near the stadium complex would help alleviate that issue.

From what I recall reading in the past, the Cobb opposition to MARTA predates the idea of the Braves relocating to the area.
