Harper tops out at $26m AAV. He may not be great the last few years of that contract, but he’s been so good on the front end that it will wash out. He’s basically carrying Philly to the World Series with how incredible he’s been.
 
I can't believe Padres never pitched Hader in a game that was a one run game almost entire game. Also can't believe they just bunted down to their final two outs of the season.

Can't hate on the Phillies too much because its not that much different than what we did last year.

Notwithstanding the whole cheating thing, I hope Houston actually does just complete their mission and get a title. Albeit with caveat that if they lose, we remain in good standing as "team of the decade" type material :)
 
Unbelievably cowardice from Grisham…passed the Buck to Nola….He should have just told his manager he was scared and asked for a pinch hitter

Philly has been incredible ever since that comeback. I dont think they can beat Houston but they have all the momentum in the world and will have Nola/Wheeler going Games 1-2. Wouldnt count them out by any means though.
 
Just think, had the Braves actually shown up to play a baseball game against the Phillies they could’ve had a shot at a mid-as-hell Padres team to get back to the World Series.

But seriously, the Phillies look phenomenal. I’d be absolutely shocked if they take more than two (and I’m thinking the series only goes 5) against the Astros because they’re absolutely dismantling people. But as we learned last year, anything can happen in playoff baseball.
