Ok but you didn't answer my question.

Chapman: 17 mil
Britton: 13 mil
Ottovino: 9 mil
Betances: 7 mil
Kahnle: 1.3 mil
Green: 600K

Overall their bullpen is close to 50 mil. That's close to 40% of the Braves payroll. How many teams can afford a 50 million dollar bullpen?

Because your question is pointless. The cost of the Yankees BP is irrelevant.

The Rays use their BP similarly. As do the Brewers. And the As. The Astros used the BP tonight. Those teams aren’t significantly outspending the Braves in the BP.

The Braves have the arms to deploy the staff similarly, yet we’ve seen zero indication Snit is capable of doing so.

What's the advantage of doing this vs a starter once through the lineup (2-3 innings) followed by another starter? Wouldn't you prefer the better pitcher?

The idea is to use an opener vs the top of the lineup so when the bulk guy comes in he can face the bottom of the lineup 2-3 times while only facing the top 1-2 times. Or to use a series of pitchers going all out for 1 inning.

The point is not to copy the Yankees. The point is to come up with a way to leverage all the Braves talented arms in ways they are likely to succeed. There have been quite a few ideas posted here about piggybacking guys, using openers, using multi inning relievers, etc.

As much as I hate that the Nationals are in the WS, I love that they didn’t get there until after Bryce left and he didn’t even make the playoffs

I don't really get the Nats hate. They really haven't been an obstacle for us when we've tried to be competitive. I don't think they've ever prevented us from making the playoffs or beaten us in the playoffs.
