OT Immaculate Grid

Kevin Stocker is 2% for Phillies/TB, I call BS there. Doyle Alexander 1% Tigers/Jays, McGriff is only 6% for Rays/Jays, George Bell 2% for Jays 40 homers, and Mike Piazza 0.6% for 40HR/ROY

OK, I checked back and Stocker fell to 1%... but still. Piazza down to 0.5%.

I really was thinking Piazza. But I couldn't remember if he actually got 40+ homers. Thought he was high 30's his rookie year.

He hit exactly 40 twice, rookie year was in the 30s, but the non-team intersecting ones can be in different seasons

Oh sunova b...

I thought the requirement was had to be ROY and hit 40 homers the year they were ROY.

That's why I picked McGwire because I knew he slugged almost 50 his ROY. lol

Otherwise I would have totally picked Piazza or Bagwell lol.

For the 7/1 immaculate grid, I feel like we’ve already had links to COL-ARI, SF/PIT and HOU/PIT in the last 10 days. I know they’re bound to repeat sooner or later, but this is soon

Great card today to use for ex Braves rotation stalwarts Jason Schmidt and Mike Hampton

My ex braves today were Castilla, LaROche, Schmidt, and Morton.

Only sub 1% were Orlando Cepeda (don't know how. I was just listing a giants hall of famer who wasn't Bonds or Mays I figured he would have been at least 5%) at 0.4% and Morgan Ensberg at 0.5% both were slight gambles. I just remember Ensberg being a force in the early 2000s

God damnit.

I kept trying to think of which Astros player that was that wasn't one of the Killer B's or Berkman from that era that had a funny batting stance and kept mashing homers. I knew the name started with an M but I thought the last name was M. I couldn't for the life of me think about it.

Richard Hidalgo.

That's a name I haven't heard in a while. I looked him up and was shocked to see he had a fWAR of over 7 in 2000 and came in 20th in the MVP voting.

I think he was one of those in the Mitchell Report.

He had one of the smoothest swings I've ever seen.

No one here should miss even 1 slot today. And there should be plenty of opportunity to go low.

KC/Atl - the great Rey Sanchez at .06,%

Atl/LAD - Jeff Treadway at .007%

NYY/KC - Wilson Betemit at .1%

LAD/NYY - Ted Lilly at .4%

LAD GG - Russell Martin at 1%
