OT Immaculate Grid

A 95 this afternoon, mostly because of Jackie Robinson (51). Lowest were Pedro Astacio for Dodgers/Astros (0.1) and Todd Zeile for Dodgers/Mets (0.3).

Pulled Jeff Francoeur for Mets/Phillies and Charlie Morton for Astros/Phillies. Strawberry for Mets/Yanks, Gehrig for Yankees/200 hits and Rose for Phillies/200 hits.

Bobby Abreu played for every team on the grid, but didn't get 200 hits.

My rarity was 25.

My highest was DOdgers with 200 hits with Beltre at 11% as I coudln't think of anyone on the Dodgers I knew with 200 hits other than him. Aside from Jackie Robinson of course.

My Lowest was Paul Byrd Phillies/Mets 0.05

Im starting to think its actually harder to get the majority score on a square.

I love getting rare names but for every square there might be 25+ of em. The majority answer you have to think through other fanbase favorites and biggest names.

I feel like I got robbed on today's AZ 100 RBI tile. I went with JD Martinez. I realize he didn't play all season with AZ, but he did play for them and finished with 100 RBIs. I guess I should read the rules better, but I still feel like that's trash.

I did it today, couldn't think of another SEA/MIA than Ichiro. Unless Cliff Floyd played for seattle but I got it.

I think they would have accepted that in the past. In the last week, I don’t think it’s accepted.

I went with Luiz Gonzalez...I remember that year he was all roided up and hit 50+ HRs.

Great idea. I was sort of getting burnt out thinking of no name relief pitchers every day. This is a nice way to spice it up.

A 57 with Ichiro taking up 41 of that.

Sub-1s were Dave Magadan for Mariners/Marlins (0.3), Royce Clayton for Arizona/White Sox (0.4), Jose Canseco for ROY/100 RBIs (0.9), and Moises Alou for Marlins/100 RBIs (0.9). Steve Finley at 1% for Arizona/100 RBIs.

Man today's is hard. Not done yet, but already missed DET/COL. Could not think of a single player that played for both. Latroy Hawkins was the only guy I could think of since he played for like half the league and I know he played for CO. Looking at the list on BRef, probably the most well known choices were Jose Iglesias, CJ Cron and Octavio Dotel. Gonna guess CJ Cron was number 1.

Adam Bernero actually crossed my mind of Detroit players who were journeymen, but I could only recall him playing for us and DET. Also didn't realize Jurrjens pitched for Colorado after he left us.

Kevin Ritz (DET/COL was a square several games ago and I was thinking of expansion guys and looked him up after that)

Bernero and former closer Todd Jones.

An 18 today with Honus Wagner being my highest at 10%. Went Lonnie Smith, Eric Hinske, and Chris Johnson for the Braves row.

Went McGriff as the Blue Jays/HOF. Low score was Cesar Geronimo for Reds/.300 at 0.1%. Stayed with the Reds and played Barry Larkin for HOF/.300 at 0.5%

I’m a little pissed that Eli Marrero wasn’t accepted for the .300 AVG season square.

Nor was Jeff Treadway, he of the .320 BA for the 1991 NL Champs (336 plate appearances).

Obviously they are looking for hitters who qualified for the batting title, but the game doesn't specify that.

My rarity score was 145 with a missing square.

70 today. Blanked on a Pirates HOFer other than Clemente and Stargill. Had I gone with Pie Traynor, I would have ended with a score of 13.

Lows today were:

Kerry Ligtenberg Atl/Tor @ .09%

Johnny Estrada Atl .300 average @ .08%

Chris Sabo Cin .300 average @ .8% (pretty proud of this one);

Ozzie Smith .300 average/HOF @ .3%

My low today was Dion James as Braves .300 hitter. Also used Rafael Belliard as the Braves/Pirate player. I really thought Joe Carter was in the HOF. Had a 132 with the missing square.
