PLAYOFFS?!?!?

Hard to hit Scherzer when he’s getting an inch-plus off the plate called for strikes.

Dodgers get ****ed by the wind. Lux hit it 106.9 MPH with a 22 degree launch angle. xBA of 890 and a homer like 95% of the time. Wind just killed it. lmao

I am supremely more confident against the Giants than LA, so it would be great if we could finish our series off and they do the same. The Giants are really good but we match up really well

Indeed. I'm pulling for a Braves/Red Sox WS. Would feature teams from each league with the worst record of those that made the playoffs.

Plus, you’d have the Boston history aspect. Also, the Red Sox are 4-0 in World Series in this century. It would be cool to knock them off.

It's kind of funny that since the new millennium, we've put three teams into the NLCS: the 88-win 2001 team that was the worst of our clubs during the division championship streak, last year's COVID squad, and this year's 88-win team that lost one of the best players in baseball and spent the first two-thirds of the season as a science experiment to see how many times in a row you could go win-loss-win-loss-win-loss.

Meanwhile, teams that flamed out in the LDS include:

- The 2002 team that won 101 games and had the best pitching in baseball
- The 2003 team that won 103 games and scored 907 runs
- The 2004 team that won 96 games, finished top five in offense, had the best ERA in the NL and featured JD Drew playing like a young Mickey Mantle
- The 2013 team that won 96 games, lead the NL in home runs and lead the NL in ERA

I thought our 2019 team had a legit shot to make a run, but Cardinals and their devil magic.

Yep. Just think about this NLDS. Two great plays from Swanson, two pinch hits including a HR from Pederson, and Freeman's HR against the best closer in baseball was all the difference. That's 5 AB's.

Dodgers starting Knebel tonight, probably to screw around with the Giants plans. I'd imagine Urias comes in right after him, and it's not a bullpen game.

Every team should start an opposite handed reliever from starter. It allows your starter to go an extra inning without having to face the top of the order three times.

The Dodgers are going to start Knebel as an opener in front of Urias in an elimination game to counter SF stacking their lineup with RHH vs Urias.

This is precisely what I wanted Snit to do in Game 4 by starting Minter to force Counsell to use his RHH lineup, only to then be followed by Ynoa (or Morton).

Some of these smart teams are truly playing a different game than the dinosaur Snit.

EDIT: Just saw you guys already talking about this.
