WTF is Roberts letting Yamamoto throw 113 pitches in a 5 run game in the playoffs?

This is after Cora let Crochet throw 116 last night.


Maybe Snitker wasn’t that bad.

I can see Cora's logic, who was facing a strong Yankees lineup in a really close game. It's only a 3 game series so I don't think you can worry too much about pitch counts at this point in a close game.

But yeah, that was pretty dumb of Roberts. Especially since Snell just went 7 innings on Tuesday. It's not like your BP was taxed.

Reds clearly aren't that good as the 162-game performance illustrates, but they've got some lightning in the line-up that can strike. They had their chance when Sheehan was scuffling and a couple of swings could have tied things up. The things I found questionable in the Reds' strategy last night was putting someone with limited experience playing first base at the position in an important game That inexperience showed up big-time and helped fuel the Dodgers' big inning. Stewart looks like he's going to be a solid hitter, but putting him at first base last night was a mistake.

I think the Dodgers are the best team in baseball with one major wart. Their bullpen is shaky. After watching Sasaki last night, I think he will be the go-to in the late innings going forward.

Playoff baseball is so fun and it sucks not to be part of it. Not that the Braves have had much part in it since 2021 anyway..

I didn’t watch what happened. But in all likelihood the friars would have been out of challenges. So baseball has to take these baby steps to eventually get to the ultimate goal instead of rolling it out immediately. Dickfred is such an idiot.
