Wow @ the Royals. No lead is safe with them.

Nobody beats Mets fans for disgusted facial expressions and body language.
When you go to the plate looking to hit the ball instead of looking to keep the bat on your shoulder, good things happen.
2 walks against Clippard show that sometimes keeping your bat on your shoulder is exactly what you should do. Baseball is too subtle for gross generalities. We had a lot of discussion about how dominant starting pitching wins in the post-season. The Royals were not on anyone's list of teams with dominant starting pitching. But they have done all right so far.
Yeah it is weird. I do a double take everytime I see a mets cap.Oh and by the way, I've never seen so many Mets fans walking around the streets of NYC. Yankees gear has and always will dominate. It's almost like Mets fan were too embarrassed to represent
Cueto, Volquez and Ventura have made at least one very strong start this off-season. Sometimes you get dominant pitching from non-elite starters. Estrada gave the Jays a couple very strong starts. Anything can happen in the playoffs. It's actually a bit shocking that the Royals have made it this far with their pitching staff. Chris Young and Edinson Volquez are two players who were pretty close to being out of the league in recent years, Ventura has been extremely erratic in his 2nd year, and Cueto since coming to Kansas City had been pretty horrible.
The playoffs are always going to be all about luck, getting contributions from unexpected places, and having your core hitters do what they're supposed to.
The Royals pen have carried them this far.
