"I Can't Breathe"

Cool, so the cop won't share details about what lead to this struggle etc.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised

Oh, is that what I am doing?

The suspect had warrants out for his arrest, and then he resisted arrest. That's what led to the struggle. Why do you need more details than that?

Still blaming the guy who uttered these words instead of the professionalism, or lack thereof, that led to these words being uttered. And now they're a big deal, because someone is dead.

Who is blaming Garner in this thread?

Still making **** up that's not even in this thread? Don't see anyone blaming Garner.

Anything to not address the issue in this thread. Bob and weave....Bob and weave.

What issue? That a cop that killed someone because he's a ****head started this "I can't breathe thing"? What's the issue? What's the point being discussed?

The popularization of the phrase is now going to make police officers jobs even more difficult. What happened to Garner was a travesty but the overwhelming majority of arrests are legitimate and needed.

And the phrase is "popular" because someone was unjustly killed and got away with it. A peaceful protest using these words is OK and should be done. So again, what's the point? That the phrase is slightly troublesome? So is unjust death.

Slightly troublesome? It may put thousands of officers at greater risk then they should be. Everyone acknowledges that there are awful cops that should never wear a badge but that doesn't mean it justifies putting the good ones at further risk.

Ok. No matter how big of an impact you think it will make (I don't believe this will put "thousands of cops at greater risk) what should be done? I still don't get the point. Sure it sucks for those good cops. But a bad cop caused it.
