REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Its about 5k right now. The blow out earlier in the season actually makes me more confident than if the saints actually won that game. Saints have replaced their LT with Terron Armstead who has been really impressive so far.

Its a huge risk but I think Breesus will deliver us from evil on saturday. I think I am going to take the points although I am tempted to bet straight up.

Homers gonna home. The best home team in the NFL playing one of the worst road teams. An indoor team playing on the road in cold weather. (Yes, they beat Philly, but talk about track record)

It's gonna be 50 with showers in Seattle, hardly cold.

But yeah best team at home vs a bad road team. Maybe they cover, but that would have more to do with Seattle's offense not killing it.

COlder than the dome.

It's always much easier to throw in the dome.

The saints have the same road record this year as the patriots this year and have been one of the best road teams since 2006. The combined record of the teams the saints lost to on the road was 52-28. 3 of the 5 teams they lost to are teams are still playing. Both of the panthers and patriot losses went down think the wire. I don't want t say they were lucky wins but the saints outplayed both of them despite losing on last second touchdowns.

The combined record of the teams they beat on the road was 16-32. They may have barely lost to the Panthers and Pats, but they barely beat the Falcons and the Bucs, and they lost to the freaking Jets.

Saints beat the

Bucs (by 2)
Chicago
Atlanta
Philly

Lost to:
NE
Jets
Seattle
Rams
Carolina

Also the refs threw the least amount of flags per game last week than they had all season. This means Seattle's secondary is not going to be called for anything like usual. Saints are gonna get cooked tomorrow. Please don't bet on this one.

Trent Dilfer said Pete Carroll is convinced that the refs will only throw about 15 flags a game and won't throw all of them on the secondary. If its true then I give them credit for finding a loophole in the system.

Its a joke what they let Seattle get away with in their secondary. They should let everyone play like that. As long as you hold them before the ball is in the air its only 5 yards and if they dont' call it all the time then its worth it.

Pure hatred for sure:

Garçon also said he doesn’t believe that Griffin, who was benched the final three games, had become too close to owner Dan Snyder or, perhaps, too full of himself, as some recent reports have suggested.

“It’s not reality,” he said. “But quarterbacks on any team have a little more power than anybody else in the locker room. They are the quarterback. They are the coach that’s on the field. They have the franchise in their hand every play."

Garçon continued: “But he’s not walking around with his chest [puffed] out and saying, ‘Hey, I’m the man.’ He’s Robert. He’s actually a fun guy in the locker room. He plays his music. He does little goofy things with us. …He plays his music a lot. He loves his music.”

I heard the refs for this game are the same crew that called 4 coverage penalties on seattle in the 4th quarter when they lost to Arizona. I am going to check that game out when I get home.

I'd give the Saints a better shot than most, but....

If they let both sides play, and Seattle is allowed to grab, be physical all game, hard to see the Saints win.

The nfc is weird in that seattle/sf are clearly the best 2 teams. The saints are easily better than Carolina but the Panthers are more likely to beat seattle or sf.

Carolina and Seattle are the best teams. Niners were good most of the year. They're better now. They're all about equals at this point. Carolina is severely underrated. Cam is the wildcard for them. Could ruin them could elevate them beyond any team.

Actually you said Seattle and Carolina are the best teams. Then you said the Niners were better now. Then you said they were all equal.

All in the same line of text.
