REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Right after saying the moronic statement that Caronlina and Seattle are the best teams. That isn't true at all. You could say that over the the full season Carolina played better but right now the 49ers are a better team.

Actually you said Seattle and Carolina are the best teams. Then you said the Niners were better now. Then you said they were all equal.

All in the same line of text.

They are the best. Carolina and Seattle were the 2 best teams in the NFC in the regular season. Seattle of course was on a totally different level than anyone, but the Panthers were next in that mix. But New Orleans isn't that far behind them and SF is right behind NO. Add in that San Francisco improved as the season went on so again, they're all about equals. My money is still on the Seahawks to take it all.

If I was betting on the games this weekend, I'd pick Seattle to win, NE to cover, SD to cover, and San Fran to win. I bet on consistency and the Niners are more consistent than the Panthers. And the Panthers will be without a 100% Steve Smith so either Cam or their D has to go beast mode.

Some Niner fans i talk too say they hold/grab alot.

I didnt know it was this serious, makes me wonder.

Seahawks are a cheating organization. Bend the rules and fill their stadium with artificial noise.

I'll be watching for that in the game tomorrow afternoon. Could be interesting. Seems like the officials are being called out a bit.

Nevertheless, even though I'm rooting for New Orleans, I don't expect them to get out of there with a win. I don't see the blowout like it was in the regular season matchup, I think the Seahawks will get the win. In the other game tomorrow night, I expect the Patriots to beat the Colts.

I havent paid attention to it when i see them play.

Obviously they are physical, i didnt know it was that bad though.

The crew going the game called 4 penalties on their DB's in the 4th quarter, guess we'll see.

They do for sure, but many teams are doing it on the same strategy now. The over zealous ticky tacky calls forced teams off until this discovery. Question is will the Refs call it more often? Or is this the new way?

Better question is why dont other teams try it?

Or is only Seattle allowed too nowadays.

He never said he WAS the GOAT. Kaep is still growing. He has had a really good first 1 1/2 seasons to start his career and made it through a really rough season when he didn't have **** for weapons early on.

Jaws calls Kaep a one read QB months after calling him GOAT

That's cause Jaws is bipolar. In reality he knows what he's talking about, but he all too often just says what is on his mind without filtering it. Kaepernick and RG3 are still first read QBs. I suspected Kaepernick was given his struggles without Crabtree or Davis and how Boldin had such a huge impact. I don't know if he could have made Harry Douglas a 1,000 yard receiver, or Julian Edelman, etc. I think the true test of skill for a QB is his ability to hit all of his reads. I wouldn't say distribution and having many guys with many touches is the key, cause you could just be changing the first 2 reads. But a QB who can throw a WR open or work with inferior talent gets crazy respect from me.

Matt Ryan had the second most passing attempts in the NFL. Why is he getting credit for having one 1000 yard receiver when he was basically the number one option?

Ryan had the second most passing attempts in the NFL cause the Falcons were pretty much always behind cause their D sucked. And I'm not a fan of this, but using targets, of the top 30 receivers in receiving yards, douglas is sitting at number 20 overall and only 9 of them were targetted less. So it's not like Ryan was throwing the ball to Douglas like he was Pierre Garcon, Andre Johnson or AJ Green. Ryan only had one receiver of over 1,000 yards cause he only had 2 not bums for most of the season. Roddy missed 3 games, and for the first 5 was playing about probably 50% if that, Julio only played 5 games. Tony was not as amazing as he was last year because he was the first or second thread all year, not the third so he couldn't slip unnotticed. Ryan also put up those stats playing the toughest schedule of any QB in the NFL. So yeah he deserves credit for turning a guy who never eclipsed 500 yards into a 1000 yard receiver. Douglas is a bum, just not a total bum.

Your logic is ridiculous. He barely had over 1000 yards and was ththe number one option for a QB who had the second most attempts in.thr NFL. All hail Matt Ryan!!!!

104 mil and no playoffs WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

104 Mil with 1 career playoff win WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Ryan had 4 receivers with over .500 yards, not too many people can say the same and many of those who can, did it with running backs over 500 (like Forte or McCoy) which Ryan didn't have. And Harry was only the number 1 WR for a handful of games. Even at 75% Roddy is way better than Harry Douglas. And before when Roddy was at like 50% Julio was the one, and killed it with Ryan. Ryan and Julio were on their way to leading the league in receiving yards.

Vikings brass are in Charlotte today to interview 49ers OC Greg Roman for their vacant head coach spot. While I think Roman needs to go, this rubs me the wrong way. I don't think teams should be able to interview coaches who are still playing in the playoffs. Roman needs to be focusing on the game that is the tomorrow. If the Vikings want him bad enough they can wait until the off season. This type of crap has always made me mad.
