REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Obviously someone cares. Even when the Falcons are good, they don't have the attended of the Skins, nor the publicity. Atl is just a team no one cares about

Lol

Skins draw really well, they are an old franchise, but they're arguably the most insignificant team in their division (between them and Philly)

As far as your drawing comment. Skins should draw more, they have a much larger stadium. Falcons despite being miserable averaged 98.6% capacity. If Atlanta had a mega huge stadium, I'd guess they'd sell more tickets. I mean what's more impressive, Skins drawing 77K fans at 84.2% capacity or Eagles drawing 69K fans at 103% capacity?

Atlanta doesn't fill up what they have now. Why would they draw more people if they had a larger stadium?

3rd most valuable NFL franchise. I haven't seen what the Falcons are....guessing 20s?

Falcons are 27th. Zitos attendance figures mean nothing:

Redskins revenue 381 million

Falcons revenue 252 million

Red skins are worth 1.7 billion while falcons are .93 billion

Skins are valued at almost twice the falcons.

I have no idea what the discussion is now. I mean if you want to crow about value of the franchise, have at it but thats gay.

At first it was about that no one knows about any of the guys that the show focused on in the first episode. I really doubt that is the case, but its also not why you watch the show if you have seen it before. The best stories are the guys trying to make the team and rookies and such. Julio doesn't wear goofy ass socks, so hes boring. Roddy shows his ass on twitter, so he is pretty interesting. This show doesn't focus on the stars, so Im not sure why he is bitching. I liked the Bengals one, and it wasn't about their stars either. Hell James Harrison stood in the background and didn't say a word while Margus Hunt broke the English language in half. RIVETING STUFF, but it works. It doesn't really matter about the teams value.

So how bad is Blaine Gabbert ?

He's one of the best backups in the league..needs a better team around him...would be a top-10 QB if he stepped in for the Niners...dynamic ability...only looked bad because he was on Jacksonville...has all the talent in the world...super smart...Niners are geniuses for getting him on the cheap...will be able to trade him for 2 #1s soon...also a good basketball player, so he might play for OKC too and be one of the better SG in the league.

I never said one thing about gabbart being any good. Just said for a sixth round pick it was worth trying.

Skins are definately more popular than the Falcons are.

Better fanbase, better stadium, better draw.

Hopefully better than what he showed in the first playoff game; I was hoping with a better team, he would play better... however, that didn't see to happen. Johnson was certainly promising, though.

I came away impressed with Hyde/Tank/Mcdonald/Ellington/Dial/Ward. Yesterday was very patchwork because so many guys took the game off with various injuries.

However, the guys that have an opportunity to make plays with this team made some last night.
